Hey guys,
I am about to start doing lvl 2 missions once I get my skills finished for a cruiser. I have been reading about the maller and the arbitrator trying to decide which will be better for my play style. I am leaning towards arbitrator because I use drones for other aspects like mining and such. I have seen people say they only use 1 laser on this and other weird combo's depending. My question is, if I go with the one laser setup (lots of drones) and a tractor + salvage, would this work at all or am I going to get blown out of the sky doing the missions? If this is feasible, I need to research more and see what type of mods to fit on this bad boy.

The Arbitrator is a great level 2 ship. 5 Hammerhead IIs will chew through anything you will come across, and you can very easily run a medium armor repairer forever. You could opt for 2 guns, for a bit more damage, and maybe forego the tractor+salvage set-up, because generally level 2 salvage isnt great. I use a remote armor repairer on mine, in case my hammerheads get locked, and you can also throw on a drone link augmentor to take advantage of the arbitrators nice lock range.

Thanks for the quick response, although I doubt I can afford HH2's yet since I am still working my way up, I will have to settle for tech 1 until I start making more isk.

Tech 1 drones are still plenty of firepower for lvl 2s, I was just stating that the arbitrator is exceptionally awesome with T2 ones

Stick with level 1 for salvaging. level 2 is only good for one thing, gettng the rep to do level 3. At least that is my opinion.
And even then level 1 salvaging is only good if you are getting a lot of missions against angel cartel.
Using a setup for quickly doing level 2 missions so you can do lots of them in a short period of time is best. A drone tank ship with 3 or 4 guns should do the trick.... note, angel cartel blockade, you will definantly want to use valkeries insteasd of hammerheads. Other than that Hammers will spam you through level 2 fairly fast.
Likewise using a cruiser drone boat can also do level 3 missions ( untill you can get your BC ) provided you use speed and drone links to take out the bad guys. SO do not worry too much about not having a BC once you have rep to do level 3. This assumes you can launch 5 drones and have drone interfacing to at least level 3.

I consider the missing pleasure hub interior a bug.. even if it is not. Please fix it. :P |
