Borg9	Posted - 2008.06.26 20:07:00 - [1] CCP should cut the middle man (gtc) and just sell isk for cash. This would bring CCP more money because ppl would be paying for subs and isk not just buying gtc and selling them for isk. CCP deserves more money because they made a great game.

Basic Economics: If more isk is flowing into the economy (missions, rat bounties, etc) than there is ISK leaving it (market taxes, LP stores, NPC sales), inflation occurs, i.e. the price of goods will increase because ISK is less valuable. There is a limit to how much ISK is injected into the economy - missions can only be run at X speed, rats only spawn at Y rate, etc. If you allow people to purchase ISK directly, someone can, in 10 seconds, inject 100 billion ISK into the economy. 100 billion ISK - that's the inflationary impact of a hundred thousand missions. Inflation rates will fluctuate wildly, the value of ISK will drop dramatically, the economy would collapse, and without an economy, there is no EVE.
