Just curious because I have been reading about people complaining about them for well over a year. Mostly by 0.0 players who had to deal with the issue more than anyone else. Now all of a sudden, it is the CM's fault? As far as I can tell, the militia people who are now having to deal with them and don't like them are just saying the same things 0.0 players have been saying all this time. They are just a bit louder about it.

The CM is full of former mission running noobs thinking "oh yeah I can pvp just like anyone else in my PVE Drake." They quickly realize they will consistently be outplayed by anyone who knows anything about pvp, but are either unable or unwilling to visit any number of community sites with fittings or forums posts about anti-nano setups. Frustrated that their gang of 50 drakes is unable to kill a few decent pvp pilots, they proceed to the forums.
0.0 players whining are probably responsible for the first nano-nerf. Long gone are the days of 10km/s typhoons which arguably posed a threat to game balance.

Rigs were introduced after the first nano-nerf, weren't they?, so there actually was a nano-boost since nano-nerf too, time for second nerf

There was a rig that increased mwd speed apparently but has since been changed or removed. Theres your second nerf.

So you mean again, right? Because I seem to remember nanofibers, istabs, and overdrives being revamped around about a year ago. At the same time, they removed a speed rig... so I'd say that rigs were already in the equation.

We blame the Caldari Militia for several reasons:
* Most we're career mission runners, never PvPed before. - As such, are inexperienced and don't know much. * Caldari ships traditional suck at nanoing. * Caldari ships don't have many nano counters. * Missiles don't work against fast targets. ------------------------------------------------------ Other reasons: * Many of these people think insurance is a major part of PvP, and that T2 ships suck because of that fact. * Unwilling/unable to cross-train to any other race. (Minmatar, Gallente and Amarr have multiple counters to nano ships) * Inexperience leads to not knowing how to kill without missiles. * ECM while VERY effective against Nano ships, doesn't allow for the kill, playing into another strength of Nanoing. (Ie the escape factor)
Adding everything together, you have career carebears who never had many fights before, and have little to no experience, fighting with a 'weaker' (See below) group of PvP ships, with weapons and EWar that don't counter fast ships well.
Why are they weaker? Well, in truth, Caldari ships do NOT suck in PvP. Theyre actually one of the stronger for group PvP. (And the last time anyone got a ton of solo fights against willing targets was.... yeah get over it) However, they do require quite alot of experience to use correctly and fly effectively. As someone who flys all four races (Gallente/Caldari on my primary char, Amarr/Minmatar on my alt) Until recently, I never used Caldari ships (well in the last 3 years) for PvP outside Scorps, Falcon, and Crows. (and of course bait ships and pos bashing ravens/rokhs) Why? Because they were ineffective in the hands of an unexperienced pilot. It wasn't until I actively tried to make them work, that I started to notice the strengths and weaknesses of Caldari ships which are WILDLY different than every other race, and for the most part, counterintuitive to normal PvP lines of thought.
Watching the Caldari Militia fly, is like watching monkeys. If they aren't getting slaughtered when they should be winning, they're *****ing about it in local, or the forums. The mass majority of these carebears don't know what they're doing, and expect PvE to work identical to PvP. It does not. So, thats the state we have now.
Yes yes, I know there are plenty of Caldari Militia members who know what theyre doing, but they are far outnumbered, and out voiced by those who complain.
Now.. on a another note, I do agree there needs to be some changes to nano ships, more in the countering side, especially for Caldari and Amarr ships for reasons outlined above, and that it needs to be more universal (say like ECCM works) instead of Race/Ship specific. But thats another discussion. -----------------------------------

Blah blah blah soooo last week, just so ya know.
Anywho, while its annoying one cannot generally kill a nanosetup all the easily, it is however, extremely easy to ignore them, going about your business while they do nothing but fly really fast and follow a fleet around.

use tech 2 assault missiles then, on a caracal those are deadly to nano ships. no need to crosstrain.

Because a majority of the Caldari militia is still not flying nano-ships. Thus they are getting much higher ship losses than any of their opponents.
Nutters!

i do fly nanoships occasionally but i have to say i dont like still idea of bigger ships than intys going ridiculous speeds. imo one thing to get REALLY too fast ships away is nerfing implants like snakes. i know those are expensive yea but eve is so full of filthyrich people who buy em.i see very much ships that could not go as fast without these. so nerf teh implants.

3-6 km/s (which is what we're talking about for the most part) are not ridiculous speeds.
The fastest interceptor (using everything you can possibly use to increase your speed) can hit 60 something km/s. That is a ridiculous speed.
And as for the OP, we blame the Caldari militia because the enormous flooding of the boards over the last few days with "nano"-whining has been mostly from them and seemed like a semi-organized propaganda campaign. As if spamming CCP's forums was somehow going to persuade them to change game balance.

Actually the cerb is a nightmare against nearly all nano ships.
Assault Launchers + Precision lights = omfgexplosionvelocity + sweetjesusrange
Typical nano is between 3.2km/s & 3.9km/s. With Target Navigatio Prediction at IV, the explosion velocity of precision lights is 4200m/s. That means 100% damage.
And though the vagabond typically goes 5-6km/s, it cannot sustain that speed for more than 30 seconds or so. Oh, and did I mention it's lowest resist is kinetic? Vagabond pilots that don't use a kinetic shield resist rig are in deep **** around an assault cerb. - Support fixing the UI|Suggest Jita fixes|Compact logs |

lol wgut? Head out of ass, good woman. I applaud them for NOT cross training and NOT succumbing to the nano rage. Any good FCs out there will tell them how to deal with the nanos which is still entirely possibly so long as they properly mix and arrange their ships. I really want to see how much a fleet can do as ONLY caldari. Besides, give them some credit. They're learning that drakes do not do much more than tank. If they don't, that's fine by me because I am still not sick of picking apart their wrecks for delicious Tech II goodies!
