I've just read this : Fragland Preview
In it Shiva sounds so cool...
I *was* just going to hang around to get the eveDB done then cancel my account and now you have enticed me to stay another few months so I can check shiva out... you manipulating ba***rds! j/k WHY! WHY! Why do you play these games with my mind!
I am so weak...

I may be a carebear... I really don't know... I'm not a great fan of PvP combat, because I play Eve to relax and not to get my blood pumping. Eve is quite a combat-centric game at the moment and I am looking forward to the new types of mining, especially those planet-sized roid belts with rogue drones in, and chasing after comets... sounds pretty cool!

And whats more I refuse to buy any other industrial skills... heck I would burn Mining from my brain if only I could!

I wouldn't call it all Carebearland attractions, I can see how it might be VERY cool to PVP in some of those new environments!
Take for example the new Asteroid environments.
Providing CCP doesn't just make em all super high level locations but instead makes em fit the sec rating of the system and have them all over the empire, and 0.0 space areas, then we can finaly get to see events like those mentioned in "Pray miner" playing out on a more regular basis.
For example, if the roid belt is big enough there could be dozens of places for players to hide, or get attacked by NPC's or other players.
It could really be something else.
But yes, we'll see... I'm just really stoked about the environment changes. To me those, if implemented properly, will add a LOT to the game.
It might actually be profitable now to specialize in exploration activities... Selling bookmarks to station anchoring locations, and rare ore in the big fields to the higest bidder ETC.
But I agree, I hope that we don't need to train mining or something even higher to get any worth out of them...
It has to apeal to players of all skill levels, and as many playstyles as possible to really be done properly IMHO, and not just cater to miners...

I even have Refinery Efficiency trained to lvl 5 
... was nice till they nerved it with the corp standing taking effect in the Refinery u use  sigh
BUT! im training up on EW now tho and have Large Hybrids *jeej*
Now can i play
To the point, i was drewling (spelling??) all over the place when i read the Preview about shiva.
I payed 6 months in advance...

I haven't fired a mining laser in anger since I made my first million :)
