Not technically, but players are based on a huge realm where you can play with eachother up to 8 persons. Likewise the trade portion of the game is similiar to an MMO.
Well i visited the blizzard worldwide ivitational where the news got released to the public and during the penals for Diablo they metnioned that they most likely would reduce the amount of classes and amount of players in a game(and thus party) based on the small amount off info they gave us i'd say we only have about 5 or 6 classes and also 5/6 players per Bnet/network game.
apart from this all i'm defently looking forward to a game to play while doing my exploration :D

Watching the gameplay trailers tells me that they're not holding back too much on the gore. Liberal splashings of red stuff, with plenty of squishy, crunchy, screamy sound effects. True its not all that graphic, but the graphics engine isn't likely to be completely finished at this point- I'm hoping the lack of detail is just a symptom of it's incompleteness.
During the penals on the wwi they said that they wouldn't go crazy on the graphics, in order to make the game playable on basicly any somewhat recent system. also directx 10 was not required to run D3.

I do hope they kept to the whole concept of Diablo 1 and 2 that no game would ever be the same with random spawns and random map generation ect, tbh after looking at the gameplay trailer especially for the outdoor area and the fact the dev narrating it seemed to know alot about what was coming up it feels like they might have done away with random maps.

Infact having to play crazy with the damn 3d camera in other games realy blows.. 9/10 times people place it back in the good old d2 camera angel ;)
