With FW, I think we need a better way to gain standing. The problem, as I see it is that if you have a negative standing with an empire, the only practical way (outside datacenters which are a one shot deal) to gain standing is to grind boring game content - i.e. to run hordes of level 1 missions when most semi-experienced players are really only challenged by level 4 missions and above.
I'm not saying EvE should be without consequences, but I was thinking, what do real criminals do when they run afoul of the law? Lots of them get fake papers. I think we should implement something similar in EvE. We should be able to buy some kind of fake papers which reset our standing with that faction to 0.0. Now, they should be pricy to keep people from abusing the system, but I'd like a system where I could play FW with the Minmatar and not worry that I've forever screwed any chance to play Amarr or Caldari content. It would also be nice to run missions for pirate factions or empire factions at various points in my EvE career. |

Ooooh, can I buy papers to drop my 10 base charisma into something useful? 
It doesn't make sense from an RP standpoint, either: You gain SP by shooting data straight into your brain, you'd think they'd have figured out genetic sequencing :)
Also, you can run level 4s with your friends (wasn't there just a Dev interview about how the point of FW was to group up with friends?) who already have the standing and turn in the quest as a fleet, so you get a big standings bonus too. |

pricy is a purely relative thing in EVE. what one man considers so expensive its nto worth it, another man wouldn't bat an eye at buying three of.
however, i might support this idea if it reset all your standings. you change personas, everything resets. useful in certain circumstances, but rarely used.
but it doesn't affect sec status, otherwise thats a free trip to ganktown. |

I think it does make sense from a RP standpoint. EvE has how many trillions of people in it? Imagine the bureaucratic nightmare. For 99.999999999999% of the universe you are nothing more than an entry in some database. Change that entry or have papers saying you are a different entry and viola, new persona.
Also, as I said in my OP this happens all the time in RL. Fake driver's license and social security number and you can easily disappear in today's society.

You should also have to change your name and portrait, and your SP gets reset to 900k  |

Yup! If you want a new persona then you will have to pay the price to start all over again :P
But hey! You still got your billion ISK to spend on many many T1 frigs!  |
