An elderly miner once told me a story that an ice field used to exist somewhere in space but I didn't believe him, I'm inclined to agree now though. 4 days and countless hours and no ice fields ANYWHERE in high sec (0.5 - 0.7). What gives CCP?
I'm paying you to entertain me so GIEF ICE FIELDS!! |

Thanks for that Rogue, although I do have some resources that point me to ice fields they are always completely empty.

Always
If your resources are still showing the icefields that used to be in .8 - 1.0 security systems you would be correct.
CCP removed all the icefields from .8 and above systems well over a year ago.

Yeah that was pointed out to me in-game so I've limited my searches to 0.5 - 0.7 but still nothing. |

use grismar's explorer
1)"show systems" 2)"in region with name containing" type the name of region where you're looking for ice fields 3) run query 4)"with number of icefields" type "1" 5) run query (will show systems with ice fields - ignore those in 0.8+, those don't exist, the site is running old database)

Edited by: Rin Taleda on 29/06/2008 19:58:59 Well, I just looked at the map (Ombey's 2d maps), picked a closeby system that it showed as having ice, popped over for a look-see and found an ice field.
The system I checked was Outuni in The Forge. It is an 0.7 system. Lots of ice and about 30 Mackinaws.
What system did you not find ice in that the map shows it being present?

I was looking in Tash but I'll definitely checkout The Forge, thanks. Mia, that was the site I was using but thanks for the info anyway. |

There should be ice fields in (didn't check ingame):
Anjedin (no station) Goram Ivih (no station) Jarzalad Kari (no station) Moutid Seil
That's Tash-Murkon's hisec, found both in grismar's explorer and Ombey's Maps.

Beduit!
I have just personally verified the presence of ice fields w/ active miners in: Anjedin (no station) Ivih (no station) and Seil
either you are a forum troll with nothing better to do than harrass the good people who wish to help you or you are horribly incompetant at *right clicking*
With right clicking being such an important skill in this game you are well on your way to an EVE Epic Fail

Well this is indeed an interesting development, I was actually there but didn't see any ice field at all, nothing.
I had the ice field listed in the overview and click on warp to zero.... nothing there. My ship didn't stop short due to cap or anything.
...
...
hmm.. something is very wrong here then, thanks for confirming it's actual existance

Ok listen, I've finally found the problem and it's nothing to do with being arsed about anything smartass, it's actually a problem with my install.
If you guys would actually read my posts instead of one line then turning on the flames. I already said I'm using the overview to warp there ok.
What I have found out is that if I use the overview to warp to zero it doesn't take me there but stops short and goes no further but if I join a fleet with someone and follow them into warp it does, confirmed this afternoon.
I'll have some humble pie for you flamers when I have reinstalled the game and verified it to be working as inteded. End of topic
btw, thankyou to those that actually offered help.

Edited by: Implicatus on 01/07/2008 01:46:22 so you accidently set your 'warp to' button distance to something very odd. RIGHT CLICK on it and set it back to zero.
The easiest method and probably the one everybody first uses is right click. Right click on empty space, scroll down with the mouse cursor to 'Asteroid Belts', scroll right and then down to the belt you want, select 'Warp To Zero'
If you think thats shirty just wait till you meet REAL pirates. |

Hmmm... what about 0.0 ?:)
There is a nice place where is a lot of ice x] ... X-4WZD and 08Z-JJ systems with station in 6-OQJV system. It is in Providence region so u have CVA ( www.cva-eve.org ) protection and intel from the TheCitadel ingame chat channel. 6-O station have 40% rafinery with only 1% tax :>
You may mine, rafine and sell in one place. I think that that elderly miner was talking about this place
