Recently my ship has mysteriously began accelerating without me commanding so on a number of occasions. Now note that I have never had this problem before. It could be just the way I click that causes the client to register a double click when I only clicked once to move the camera. Or it could be the prompt getting clicked on when I hold the mouse to rotate the view. Whatever the reason, I seem to be getting it more often. I'm still eying my ship in case it happens again. So has anyone else ever had this problem? |

Sounds silly but this is exactly what I did to fix my issue as well. My old left mouse button was getting flakey after years of (ab)use and would routinely double-click when I only meant to single click. Had my ships flying all over the place seemingly at random. Got a new mouse and the issue went away. Microsoft's Wheel Mouse Optical (my old mouse) seems to be especially vulnerable to this problem as my wife and a friend of mine from work all have them and they have complained about unwanted double-clicks as well in other programs. ---
To err is human. But it shouldn't be the company motto... |

The mouse theory is not that far-fetched. I had this problem once where if I tried to move a window it would maximise. Even though I was pressing on the mouse button, it would connect and disconnect and Windows would register a double click. Buying a new mouse fixed it.

Yes confirmed it is a bad mouse switch. Don't want to name any names but the major brands all have this problem after much abuse. New Mouse is always refreshing anyway . |

Hmmm... Perhaps you are right. I will look into getting another mouse to experiment with or possibly fixing the switch. Thanks guys and sorry for my sluggish response =)
