NO ONE is going to buy a jovian body part for 150 MILLION ISK
NOT 75m isk
NOT 25m isk
NOT 15m isk
Multiply 100m by 1000 parts and you get 100 billion isk what corp is eve has 100 billion isk to just spend on body parts if even in their wallet alone. NO ONE
Im tired of you spam heads spaming trade all day with " WTS Jovian Bone Shard, Jove Brain slice, 150M!
Inless the reward for finding the most is 4 Blue Print Orignals of all LVL 3 BS's i dont think anyone would spend atleast 30m a piece.

Coincidently, how much are they ACTUALLY selling for? The chances of my 4-man corp amassing 1000 pieces are somewhat remote so I'll just go for the cash methinks.

Frankly, I believe that the 'prize' for amassing all the body parts will be the honor of being the number one spot on a short Jovian hit list. Don't trust the outsiders.

I agree that 150M is a bit ridiculous, but it is a free market.
If person A sees person B selling for 150M, he has two choices, udercut to sell faster, or match for a bigger profit.
If nobody will sell their parts for less than 150M, what choice do we have but to buy it at 150M if we REALLY want it?
People said we were silly for selling harvesters at 1.5M...and then they didn't find any anywhere else, and we sold out.

I expect that the sales will go in an upside down bell curve as follows:
price will be medium, will drop to really low as supply peaks, will rise to very high prices as demand increases and supply diminishes.
My estimates would be 1-5mill to start, quickly followed by a drop to <1mill then after a long time followed by a rise to 10-20mill. The final several pieces will either be useless or worth ridiculous amounts.
Note that this system will take longer if everyone tries to keep their pieces for the large rise. This system also does not take into account the idea of bulk sales.
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

It's called speculation. It happens all the time in real life, though Eve and most MMOGs have a bit of an inflationary curve to it. So there's nothing wrong with charging a few hundred million for the parts. If someone wants to buy them for that much, great. I'll make a killer profit on something that may have 0 value, but could turn out to be of HUGE value.
I personally don't think they are worth a few hundred million ISK, but if I get someone to buy one for that much, then I figure no matter what the reward is, I'll be doing very well. And if it's not, one only has the buyer to blame for risking that much on the investment.

Hmm...let me see..ok..so after a year of playing..this is the first MMORPG thats has EVER NOT given their gamers SOMETHING for sticking by them 1 year..those folx in Iceland suuure are backwards..ok..so..

So...back to the real issue...everyone hold on to your pieces..MAKE CCP do something else with the stupid story line besides trying to find a group of Mega Corp members or alliance members who are sitting in their player owned stations waiting on their player owned deployable structures waiting on you to sell them your jovian piece for nothing(remember Mega corps and Alliances usually can and do afford multiple battleship BPs(originals) which sell on the market for upwards of 1 BILLION isk.

So..Im looking forward to CCPs BIG <<2 Year Anniversary>>...anyone willing to lay a bet that the recloned Misu Binaya farts and we are given the great honor of hopefully breathing in the gaseous molecules and selling them to some Alliance next year?...I CANT WAIT!!

you might don't pay monthly for it.... but what would gardening be without seeds? without the tools and stuff? Drawing needs something to draw on... well, and "sex" needs food, too...(unless you have some real odd habits, but I doubt that) so it might not cost "monthly" but it costs, and some of that more than others..., but well, philosophy question at all, so nevermind me

Well the price will really depend on what CCP wants for them won't it? If the Empires are going to pay 50 billion ISK then those pieces will be valuble, if they pay less they'll be worth less.
We'll see how much those things are worth when they put up the buy orders.

Gardening- you pay for Mulch, Bulbs, Tools, Fertilizer, shrubs etc
Workingout- You pay for either equipment or a gym membership
Sex- If you don't think you pay for sex in some way you aren't getting any.
Sketching- unless you draw on air you pay for what you sketch on and what you sketch with.
Graphics- Unless you you also do graphics on the air you do them on equipment you bought.

it's supposed to be race related, 1 mini-titan isn't that, or a 1 BP. I beleive it would be new technology given to that race, which would lead to new ship(s) to that race, and they could also make it so that race can only pilot that ship.
