This is to all of you still having problems with the API site. It's possible that you have the API site bookmarked and click on it to use it. I did that too and the following helped, go here:

Do not use a bookmark that looks like this:
http://myeve.eve-online.com/api/default.asp?sid=252812881

I've had this error for 2 days and I tried going directly to the API page and nothing seems to work. I even put in a petition 2 days ago and have still heard nothing. This is ridiculous.

I have also bug reported and Petitioned this and still NO response on what the problem is or how to fix it, all in all I really belive its a Datbase issue with EO.
Also as you can see my pic still dosent show in the forums definatly a DB issue

I'm in the same boat. I also purchase this on Steam, and haven't been able to get my APIKey. It always says "Failed to generate new API key"

I get this too "Failed to generate new API key. Please try again. "
Cleared my cache / cookies, tried different browsers. Nothing works on one of my accounts.
The oldest account i have works fine, and gives me all the API key i like. Both are active accounts and not trials.

when this will be fixed? i have two paying accounts and in both of them the api keys are not working , all my friends accounts are working correcly using evemon. how much time does it take to make a hotkix? and on the other hand, i don t mind if the server goes downtime for a week to fix the problem, but to learn of the problem on my own and trying to understand what i did wrong is really annoying. we are your customers you have an obligation to inform as with an e-mail or something
( blablbabla you may experience an api key mulfuction we are sorry for incovenience.) this is the right thing to do if you want good customer-corp relations.

Cleared cache, checked Firefox and IE, tried multiple chars and several corpmates having the same issue.
