When big losses happen people get depressed and stop coming on ops. The only time a titan loss hasn't totally wrecked whatever campaign it was involved in was deadtear's, which ruled.
Yeah losing our Titan wrecked us bro, we were like "Well ****, lets take a region then".

Indeed, this is the first Time since invasion of NOL, that a alliance such as TCF was able to get its entire force on the run so fast when the whisper of a fart of a threat entered local. I can feel your pride from here, and envy you becoming a human speedbump in to help them make a run for it.
I must congratulate TCF on killing a ship fitted worse than the ship I brought to the fight. Such events are very rare and one must shout as highly as possible when they occour
Truly, such a organised rout I have never seen since the Coalition attended the great feast of NOL. Shame they left a dread behind with no intention to help save him, but he who fights and runs away, lives to chestbeat the forums another day.
There must have been a region inside that titan too.

Hey atleast they don't blame this lose on lag
Originally by: Sokratesz
He had trimarks. But it was a very poor fit nonetheless, although that wasnt what killed him, the lag did. He spent so long loading grid that by the time he could see it, he was swarmed and his cap was down.
Originally by: Sokratesz
Yes it was, read my post. Without lag he could have dd'ed and gotten out but when he finished loading the grid he was tackled and neuted already. Way to go ccp.
Originally by: Sokratesz
Point is, without lag, he couldve aligned, DD, warped, before they got to him. Most of their caps were stuck in bubbles at the time. Also without lag we could have cleared HICS/DICS much more effectively if they did get on him.
oh wait oh how I missed those tears, keep up the good work Requiem.

Our capfleet was totally free of any bubbles at the time the titan jumped ; and 5 minutes before also. --- 22:31:49 Notify Archon belonging to Galavet self-destructs. |

NEWSFLASH: Jumping into a grid with lots of ships results in loading lag.
Wow, who could have seen that one coming.
Seriously, are people completely stupid and don't expect such things, then think they are justified to blame their loss on it? Because any fool could have said that would be a significant risk and the blame lies solely on the person who thought it was a good idea to jump into such a grid without an adequate support fleet.

It actually happened, no lie. They got the fleet together, slowly moved towards F4R where a fleet almost similar size was waiting, with gunners manning the Jammer tower... and...
Got spanked, chased back into Curse, and BDCI and a couple other corps huddled under a POS Shield for a while.

And the support had a warpout order given before the cyno poped

Ouch.
But in all honesty that is a fkin terrible fit. Seriously ridiculous.
I am most surprised by this as I know Sel owns a Rag, and being in the same Allaince I can only asssume that he didnt know the fit of that Rag or he owuld of been jumping up n down I am sure.
If you do not know what you are doing in a Titan, you will deffinately lose it, if you do know what you doing its got a chance of staying alive. That one, it would seem, never had a chance.

I do not see why people laugh at his fitting. Officer gear would not have saved him so would just be wasted isk.
I find tech 2 fitted titans to make sense atm. They are after all easy to get hold of and not that expensive anymore. If you can keep the cost of fitting and implants to 10% of the ship cost you can probably buy a second titan for the saved isk, insurance payout and a little iskmaking while waiting for it to build. A titan pilot that know he can replace the ship is probably more useful and can commit to more fights.
How useful a titan is is not determined by its faction modules anyway and it is the support fleet that keeps it alive.
Titans are the new battleship.... . you'll never jump alone
