Hello there,
I have on my main caldari carrier trained. I have enough spare money to buy me a DN. But I just hesitate on the one to pick.
I already have capital ship skill, I can fit cap shield booster, and I'm only 2-3 days away for capital armor rep. I have large energy turret to V and all gunnery except tarjectory analysis to V. I also have torpedoes to V and all other missile skills to V or IV.
So from your point of view which dread is better? The caldari one or the amarr one?

Revelation: Smallest cargo, you typically carry 1-2 less seige cycles than everyone else. Easy to supply as t1 ammo never runs out (XL faction does though). Cap might be a problem depending on fit. Limited damagetype vs Minmatar towers 4tl.
Pheonix: Delayed fire, pick any damagetype. Capless weapons always a good thing. Ability to pick damagetype always a good thing. Needs to be supplied with ammo as ammo is destroyed upon usage.
Personally go for revelation due to making life easier due to less ammo requirements and your shots are instant hit rather than 30sec+ delay via capital torps. You will carry less stront than any other dread and do bad damage vs minmatar towers (which are the most common type), but thats the tradeoff. But ask yourself what you are going to use a DN for? A DN is only good for killing caps and towers. What are you planning to use your dread for? |

Phoenix has the superior DPS and HP buffer (unless rev fits slaves, but is very expensive), but with the drawback of needing to reload |

word is smart bombs can destroy a citadel torp in flight. and I remember seeing several phoenixes rather low in terms of damage position on that recent titan kill mail |

Mainly for pos warfare or cap fight.
As for the last titan kill I am in this alliance and I was there yesterday, that's true that phoenix were low on dps :) |

It's true, just 2 faction smartbombs can kill citadel torp in fly (ofc if they will catch it withing range before it hits you).
