What do you like to fit in your stiletto mid slots after MWD and Disruptor are covered?
I was wondering if tracking disruptors are a good idea. Sensor boosters sound nice too for catching pods, but maybe they're a bit overkill, aren't they?
Thanks. ---<---@ JackFalcord |

I normally fit a stasis web II and a named medium shield extender in the last 2 slots on my stilleto. Though I do sometimes use a cap battery instead of the extender, I generally prefer the nice extra hp buffer

usually crap. cause if anything hits you without being trackign disrupted youa re usually webbed and takled by something that can tank you forever and therefore going to die soon (even if you tracking disruptor would make that one enemy miss a webbed ceptor).

As an aspiring inty pilot this thread interests me.
Personally I'd shy away from using Stasis Webifiers; If I'm in range to web something, they're in range to web me, and that's probably the last thing any inty pilot wants to happen.
For gatecamping, A sensor booster and another warp disruptor would be my choice, so you can lock down WCS-fitted haulers and pods.
For tackling in a fleet, a TD to help the fleet, and a MSE for drones, although if you're taking damage, you're not going fast enough.
For solo PvP, fit a MSE. The extra time it gives you means you can assess if you're taking too much damage, and gives you time to gtfo.

Tracking Disruptors are situational... obviously. They wont do you a bit of good against a lot of ships. However there's certain ships that they absolutely devastate. Most minmatar ships suffer greatly from Tracking disruptors. They already shoot deep into falloff (and suffer accuracy penalties as a result). Once you halve their falloff, accuracy becomes terrible. It's an easy way to draw lots of ships in to web range, or completely trump their damage. ---

I don't really get this risk adverse behavior most frig pilots have it came up in a thread about assault frigs as well the ships are cheap as all hell (unless your silly enough to rig them) not like your risking an expensive hac or a recon. I've found having a web fitted to an interceptor is dead useful in some situations, don't be afraid to "suicide" web something especially if it means a trade off between your cheap as hell interceptor and your fleet pwning that nice tasty HAC. With Hyena's now you probably have less need to do it but I'd still hang onto a web just in case (huzzah for 4 mid slots).
For roaming gangs I use: Disruptor, MWD, web and mse
For gate camps swap the mse for a sensor booster and possibly get some remote sensor boosting love as well

Sensor Booster T2. Balmer TD is my preference...but whatever random EWAR that fits/runs a while/complements gang is always a bonus.
You'll want the SB T2.

Well Stilettos were 18mill the last time I checked, fitted with T2 mods you're looking at 20-24mill. If you're going to go suicidewebbing things, you might as well use a t1 frig, which would be slightly less effective but about 12 times cheaper!

-Stiletto has lovely bonus to warp disruptor/sig radius/disruptor cap use. Well worth it especially with heavy NOS balance.
And you are paying way too much. Use buy orders. Or get better production contacts.

How do you fit that? Even max skilled the Stiletto isnt capstable with t2 mwd and t2 disrupt running.
Its obvious that lows should be all speedmods I think.

you shouldn't need so many cap mods. Just the cap power repay is good enough with max skills.
try using a b-type and training your highspeed manuvouring to lvl5. That is a 5% reduction to cap usage per lvl. Even with no cap mods, you should be able to have over 6mins with everything running. thats easily enough!
edit: yes its a long skill, but if your dedicated to the art of interceptors you'll do it! |
