Maximus Aerelius PROPHET OF ENIGMA 0	Posted - 2012.03.14 12:47:00 - [1] - Quote Hey there, My first suggestion in over 8 years of playing and enjoyment would be to tweak the current ways in which Meta Level 1-4 items are listed. I know they have just gone through a renaming but this would take that improvement one step further and, IMHO, should've been implemented a long time ago My suggestion is that CCP simply add the same "flash" to the top left corner of an items icon that Tech II and Faction have. Make it a blue triangle (or some other colour) and use M1, M2, M3 and M4 to show it's Meta Level. Easy on the eye and will remove the need to open Notepad to check the level of Prototype Vs Experimental etc. Please like this post to give it a +1 f you think it's a valid idea and let's get these items brought into line before they all run rangoon again :0) Thanks for reading. I like red I approve of your sense of humour when proven wrong. and yes, this would be a very nice addition. something that they could do is just make everything use the M# system and just keep the colour tags for quick identification. this would help in identifying all non standard items like meta/officer/deadspace at a glance rather than having to check info. EDIT: congrats on your first like too.

It sounds like the item is actually worse than basic meta 1 item. Use Calibrated, Enhanced, Optimized and Upgraded. Its really easy to understand that the item is better than meta 1 and its also in alphabetic order.

Corner-tagging everything just becomes overly busy at some point. Right now each GÇ£meta groupGÇ¥ has its own tag (T1, T2, faction, deadspace, officer) and then, each of those groups has its own naming convention for how relatively high meta each item is. Trying to cram all that information into a tag just creates a situation where you have too many tags to keep track of. As it is, you already have the meta column in just about any item view (and with the upcoming unified inventory, this will probably become even more useful) if you need to really separate one level from another. Those don't currently have a tag and are the ones people deal with the most. Just my opinion of course. Edit: Oh, and since when does tech 1 have a tag?

I suppose, but it's still fairly well handled by the meta column in the list view, and since you can set up the different views to show different things, you can already fairly quickly switch between having different kinds of information available. After all, even with the tag, you still wouldn't be able to sort by meta in icon view, and had to go into list view where the information can already be shown in a far more efficient manner. Its the meta column in your assets / ship cargo settings. and im going to say hells no to 3-15000 new icons in 32x32 64x64 and 128x128 what a waste of dev and graphics time, and hdisk space. lastly not all meta 4 stuff is worth anything.. so what your going to ask for next is live market value / avrgs next, because the meta icons arnt doing there job, and then, and then.. so just use the meta column they added last year..
