Well, for pure tackling, the Ares. Third fastest interceptor, and fastest tackling interceptor. Stiletto is also good for its 4th mid slot, but slow and you said you don't fly Minmatar anyway.
For killing stuff, I'd say the Crow, Taranis, and Crusader are all good.

Taranis is the highest dps ceptor, though it is slow.

The crow is probably the best and the Amarr ones aren't bad whilst the minnie ones blow

tackle = ARES great range and speed... just rocks at tackling. We could go into it, but seriously, you want to tackle BS/Nano Hacs, you want to be in one of these. and the is NO other feeling better than zipping 150k to point a BS. Or tackling a nano hac jumping through a gate thinking he's going to be able to leg it. Yeah, ares is your ship
Dam = Taranis Get the mwd burst down to an art, and you'll land in blaster range, with your target pointed and webbed and dealing over 200dps. These things can take out cruisers. just get in and orbit at 500 with mwd off
Inty killer = Crusader high tracking, high alpha, good range... even though your gimping yourself with only 2mids. they are not ships to be messed with. In inty v inty you are probably not aligned, and if your not thinking quick enough you wont realise he has no point cause he's webbing you.
swissarmyknife = Stiletto 4 mids. don't need to say anything more!
crow it had its day, but it use to be great alrounder..... you still got the always hit missiles on slow stuff, but you have to be in webrange to hold anything down, and now it can be outdone on the long range tacklers too. Still a good ship. But the are better choices. |

for FW, i'd go stiletto tbh.... the 4th mid will enable you to fit a sensorbooster on (install scan script) and you'll be pointing fast warping ships at gates for the gang to kill.
for small gang, blaster taranis/sader for the dps.
For fleet ares, cause your dam is not needed, but your needed to point things. "i am a noob, so when i pop you... feel the shame!!" |

Don't discount the crow, plus toss a couple of faction mods on it and it WTFPWNBBQs!
If you have the ISK, try this setup:
3 x Arbalest SML w/ CN bloodclaw 1 x prototype cloak (optional)
1 x Gistii-B MWD 1 x Dark Blood Web 1 x 24km t2 scram
2 x Overdrive II 1 x Inertial Stab II
2 x Polycarbon engine housing
gives a top speed of just under 9km/s and can orbit inside its web range (but outside of non-faction web range) at just over 6.5km/s and is agile as hell. Setup runs for 7-10 min with my skills) --

I fly a maldiction and you go faster with 2x ODS II's, and 1x Nanofiber II

I saw a 14km/s ares last night..big deal, all it can do is sit 600km off the gate and hope someone is dumb enough to go for it then call in the cavalry.
with my fit above, against another inty, I'm either winning or your running, never the reverse. And, its only natural predators are ships with web range bonuses, which aren't a threat when in a gang since they'll be popped before me if they are in range (edit: and other inties/sabre/hacs fitted with a faction web).
edit2: you go faster with the nanofiber (just over 9km/s) but you can't orbit as fast inside the DB web range (in 10-14km range, it will costs you almost 1km/s). --

I personally wouldn't go that far. Lack of T2 launchers means that the entirety of the dogfight will rely on you getting the target webbed long enough for him to not only slow down to allow more webbing, but also to allow your missiles to hit and do damage. Due to lack of a tank (being a crow), said tactic may backfire against certain inties with higher DPS. Not that its a bad setup, far from it, but I wouldn't see it as an ultimate dogfighter, especially in a multi-inty fight. -------

rail ranis will eat it alive :) and any inty can overload webb and webb it back --------
