Just started running agent missions from a new 0.4 system, set destination to bookmark 3 jumps away, did I bother checking the map or local? no chance I havent learn't that one yet(nearly there now...) My Kestrel exits warp 15k away from the jumpgate and I see lots of red brackets around and all of a sudden I'm getting locked so I hit the MWD, so I'm thinking 'just how much damage can they do me before I jump?' Hehe enough it appears my pod didnt even start to move before it went down too, I have a nice screenie of my corpse tho' 
Still I was a little gutted at losing my only Implant.
So how did you get podded for the first time?
To Pfffft and friends, thankyou for teaching me a valuable lesson in a cheap ship  one day I hope to exact my revenge, you are now at the top of a list that is sure to grow...

My first podding was by a player that was allready famous back then. It was on 30th June 2003 and I still have the mail:

Well, since you are reading this, I guess we screwed up, and I died.
Luckily I had invested in a Grade B- Clone at Kheram III - Moon 6 - Ishukone Corporation Factory, that clone would be you.
Seems like the clone paid off, no skill points were lost in the reanimation process. Let's hope that I remembered to insure my valuables.
Note to self: Beware of EveOwner ID: 144604580, "Lord Zap". They seem to be out to get us.

I've podded people, but never been podded myself.
Quite happy about that, given that I carry 3 implants in my head.
Though my CEO feels that I should experience podding from the other side and find out how liberating it can be to take the express route home from battles. Going as far to change my corp title to encourage such a thing to occur (how the hell can I change that damned title myself  )

I think my first time was going through PF-346 in a shuttle. I had a bad instajump, but I was almost certain I could make it before that maller could target me.
Oops. Nope.
Been podded at least twice since then. Once with implants, even.

only been podded once - i was in an omen with mining lasers and i was being chased by 6 enemy ships.... warped around a bit, then decided to make a run for the station....
Get to the station, they are all there waiting for me... i run for the station and i dont remember much after that accept the feeling of the cloning chamber being opened....

Flying though Obe, when a Huff battleship used my frigate as target practice. It was only the second time I'd lost a ship so I was too busy staring slack-jawed at the screen to realise I should warp my pod out.

Been podded once by TWD of m0o. Made a complete ass out of myself afterwards, like so many other n00bs
Now lets talk about ratio of ships losts versus number of poddings. I've done pretty good in that one. Tons of ships lost, only the one m0o podding. Or maybe losing tons of ships isn't so good

was not taking anynotice of where I was warping to.. see some guy in a BS a few clicks out. make a run for gate in my imicus.. (bad move)
got zapped by some Tach lasers. poof no more.
lost about 2 ships since then.

First podding was by J0rt and Stavr0s, not sure how long ago it was but a Thorax cost 14 million to buy and this one was 10 minutes old, 2nd podding was in an uninsured megathron with a fulset of implants in period basis region, I think the first one hurt more.

I wanted to join Space Invaders when i started to play EVE. Pirate and PVP was what i wanted.
I was thinking that to join them i needed to find them. In my vigil and a 10 days old account i went out of the safe haven of nonni and into aunene. Found some SI around a gate by scanning for them and warped there.
MY greating while i set my autopilote at orbit 1k and hoping to get one of this famous pirates in speak - was a torpedo that sent me back home.

Mine was around a week after playing the game, i joined a corp owned/run by an old friend and didnt realise they were at war.
I was happyly mining in 0.7 space with my imicus when some loser in a scorpion came and podded me :(

Lost 2 ships in this game, both Battleships. Scorp to Jokers and a Raven to Tundragon, both in PureBlind. Jokers accidentally podded me, but wasnt so bad, just saved me a trip back to Venal.

Only a couple of days ago despite playing a while now.
Never went out to 0.0 before and figured it was time. I was mining in a punisher making constant trips back and forth to the station with 16 Dark Ochre each time on one trip to the belt I warped straight into a pack of 6 Guristas in Moa cruisers and before I knew it my little unarmed Punisher was toast. As I make my way back to my home station in my pod some lamer in a Raven toasts my pod. Im sure he must have felt good about that.  |

just flew VERY close to an object that was, at that time,
having a meeting with a couple of cruise missiles. |

I didn''t even know what happened really!
Warped in to close to a ruck to help my mate out with some rats, in my Kessie...
Only to find a PK in a BS. Got hit three times by cruise missiles or torps nt quite sure... POOFF i''m in my pod and while i''m sat there thinking "bugger lost another Kes" he pods me.
No implants brand new top of the range clone... all in all it was kinda cool, got home quickly

I was downed, done and dusted in curse while in a frigate. An errant torpedo splash murdered my pod half a second after my frigate imploded. Yeah, it wasn''t very pleasant, losing that 1.4 mil clone |

The very first time I went into 0.4 I got podded.
I got the little warning box but chose to ignore it. "How dangerous can it b.... Whats that beeping? Are those missles? Oh this can''t be good.." *BANG*
I''m glad I didn''t open a convo and make a fool of myself though.

that would be my 1st day in The Collective, I was afk hauling 80m trit (damn that took MANY days) and I was afk hauling, unaware that ATUK (n00b scriptor, noobious, and some more) were waiting for theyr prey, and they killed me
that happent twice again then, and my god they were happy about those 3 afk hauling poddings  |

was blown out of my apoc while on cap duty for my buddies by the deep space unicorns in aring. shudda never given them the benifit of the doubt but none had neg sec ratings and we thought they were friendlys until that is one of them in a scorp warped in almost next to me which spelt my doom he locked me down in came another 3 moas and was picked off. was well miffed as i was brimming with implants and have some rare mods fitted but at least the miners and indies all got away safe which i suppose is why i was there....lesson learned never trust anyone in eve even when the purport not to be pirates |

I was leaving CA space. Some reason they always let you in but never leave. I had some good stuff in my cargo hold of my thorax back in Oct. I had 1 jump left to empire space. As I warped to the gate, in that time drones where a bad sign, I saw about 30 drones on the screen. I pressed my MWD and shield and the next few seconds all I saw was about 4 different screens.
One was missles being launched and red boxes apprearing. Second was rolling of my Thorax, those missles made me into a eight ball. The third was a pod. The fourth was at a station with my mail flashing. |

I've been podded twice. The first time happened a month or two after release. I was flying along in my Punisher, semi-away-from-keyboard on my way to somewhere, completely naive and n00bish. As I approached a jumpgate (can't remember where) I was immediately locked up by (IIRC)two M0o cruisers and started receiving incoming fire. I tried warping but they were using scramblers. Then I tried running away from the gate, in hopes of getting out of the scrambler field. No such luck. After a couple of minutes my ship exploded and I was podded. I was pretty mad, but I got over it.
Second time was a few weeks ago. I should have known better than to be dinking around in .4 space without checking the map and being attentive. Completely unaware, I ran right into a Zombie Corp blockade at the Oddelulf jump gate. Hmmmmm...five battleships against my Maller...I decided to make a dash for the gate but they webbified me and demanded 3million ISK. I told them I didn't have it so they destroyed my ship and podded me. Doh! I was pretty mad. That Maller was my first cruiser! It had a lot of sentimental value attached to it. Oh well. Insurance is a lovely thing.

Got podded the first time when me and 4 other frigates took
out an [EVOL]Dominix at the Keberz gate in HED-GP.
We chased him from the SV5 gate were we had made serious
damage to him and took all his drones, then by some
mysterious reason - Dukah was able to warp to the Keberz-gate
but stupid enough he could not jump through.
I followed him in warp eventhou i was down to 30% armor
and found him having an Instajump so i burned my MWD and
when he realized he could not jump through he activated his
smartbombs, since he was setup for frigate killing.
(didnt help )
I dived in for a quick scramble just enough to keep him
"agro" and not able to jump or warp, the other 4 frigates
came out of warp just after i was podded by a Large Plasma
and they finished the jobb .
I¦d say a rifter for 250k is a good sacrifise for a 60M ship.

Painfull, but i went down fighting 5 enemy battleships + cruiser support...
Pie lost one bs out of 3 and held the pator/yulai gate Minnie scum lost 1 bs and fled the field so it was a glorious defeat for me .
Strange thing was the mk2 golan mined and started doing agent missions after that...so beware cloning isnt without its problems.
The Gallente ideals of Freedom, Liberty and Equality will be met by the Amarr realities of Lasers, Armor and Battleships. |

First time:
I thought I was escaping the husk of noobie-dom when I began running missions into <0.5 space. Yep, I was a tough-as-nails, hard-drinkin, wife-has-left-me, the-lieutenant-is-on-my-ass Rifter privateer running courrier and kill missions into systems only the insane or suicidal would travel. That's where Jus2awsome and a friend of his found me.
Upon entering Tabbetzur, my autotargeting went off, and this strange blue glow surrounded me. I thought the blue glow was kinda cool but that targeting sound disturbed me. Whao! What was that flash? Where did my shields go? What was that system msg that appeared on my screen - I missed it. Someone wants to chat with me? Ok, in a second, cuz I have to figure out what's going on here... Hey! Someone is shooting me! Ok, stay calm dammit! Yikes! My armour is... I have to get the hell out of here! My ship won't respond! What the?! Hey! My... my pod... And what's with the blue glow again? And again with the system message: "Jus2awsome is trying..."
After a few moments of shock, I've accepted the chat with my aggressor. He asked me how much my life was worth to me. I wanted to regain some composure and tried to say something pithy and full of bravado. "Quit wasting my time" was all I could muster.
Ah the bright light...

Truamatic. Had a serious sick pc that kept ctding me. I got wasted by Moo in 0.0 space. Sick puppy he was even wated till i was back online to shot my pod. Betya he was laughing his arse off.
I just reckon he was soooo big and brave to waste someone offline. Next time was easier, Tundragons i think, my Maller vs a Raven...lol had no chance, but at least i got to fight as i went down.

in a rifter, chased a dude in a rifter through catch for a bit. finally caught him, got a web on and launched the cruises, as they got close he hit his smartbomb and took them out (i was impressed). it went to guns and missiles and i nailed him, then me being a dumbass didn't see his last missile and it put me in a pod.
i'm 30 jumps from home, couldn't be bothered to bookmark it back so i hang around at the gate waiting for a clone jump. in jumps lord zap himself and him being what he is couldn't resist a pod sitting there. he locked and started firing away and couldn't hit me at all. i started taunting him saying he was a cr@p shot and so on so he launched the cruises and i got my trip home courtesy of a paradise cruise. i don't count that as a death because i was just being lazy so i haven't been killed yet 
lord zap is a lousy shot.

first time: in CA space i thik, wanted to do some ninja mining but didn't find anyting good, and i was one jump from empire when this i guy i had got through before (MWD'ing) was camping the gate. i activated my MWD a second too late and i was scrambled and webbed and had no hope.
nest was in the immensea region, with hostile forces outside the station. i though there were only intercepters out there so i undocked, lagged badly, had a bettleship lock me, i had a screen with my pod with 1/3 strucure for about 5 mins before i was in the station. worst part about that is that i forgot to take the cruise missiles skill i had been hauling up (as welll as all my heavy missiles) out of my hold |

My only (so far) podding happened way back before many people had cruisers. I was flying my empty brand new bestower to our base in 0.0 when I see these red dots at the gate. It was a small gang of Red Corsairs; I think only one of them was in a cruiser. Well, I thought my speedy Bestower could make it through their blockade. I came fairly close when it exploded and I found myself in a pod. I began to type a question asking why they blew up my ship when they took out my pod.
I was so green back then, it never occured to me that they would even consider blowing up my pod.
I came so very close to being podded a couple of weeks ago. I just restarted playing EVE a couple of weeks ago, and the only real assests I had were some random stuff I had left deep inside Curse. I figured I could make it their in a shuttle. It got shot up a bit, but I managed to make it to our old base. I packed the Bestower that was there full of some odds and ends and stuff that was in the corp recycle hanger. Fitted it was some afterburners and overdrives, and headed back to emp space.
I found out that Indy's were not as fast as they used to be and I am not sure wether I mounted frigate afterburners on it or not. I made it through one blockade after loosing half my armor and was only a few jumps to freedom.
At the last gate, they were waiting and well prepared. My corp mates advised me to go somewhere safe and try to get through when there were less guarding the gate, but I didn't listen. Heedless, I rushed straight at the gate afterburners helping as much as they could. I had enough speed I was confident I was going to make it! I had never had the pleasure of being webbed before. I watched my speed plummet and was notfied that I was also warp scrambled. Then, the rain of missles started impacting on my poor bestower. There was naught else to do but creep slowly towards the gates, knowing I would not quite make it to gate. My ship exploded and I found myself in a pod again, this time however, I immediately navigated to the gate. I saw the missles impact just as I jumped. No pod for you Curse Alliance! At least I learned something from the first time I was podded.

was a really, um, fair fight.
somewhere in OR, map showed no people 10 jumps ahead. i proceed to the next system only to find a crow waiting for my hoarder full of bistot. web, scramble, cruise missles, pod ... somehow the autopilot fails me and i cant warp away. pod might be scrambled at that stage, not sure.
hey zincol, i want my corpse back !

One day I look at the corporations list and I find one which has 2 stations which are the only 2 stations of the region, the 2 stations are even in the same system and all the agents level I to V are in these 2 stations...
So I thought... it would be quite cool to do all the missions in the same system! Of course the said system is in 0.0 but it is a detail ^^.
So I take a shuttle and head to Geminate... Forsaken Empire blockade awaits for me... destroys the shuttle but the pod makes it through the gate with 0 armor and 0 hull!
So after 20 boring jumps in 0.0 I arrive in the system. Agents don't want to talk to me and it is full of pirates players. I do a quick visit on the belts and I see all is mined to the last roid...
Then I thought it was better to go back in empire space, I asked one of the pirates to pod me (so I don't have to jump 20 more times to finish poded at the frontier), he did it^^. That was the first and only time I died.
