Following on from my corpmate Mukrakr's frankly epic first attempt at a vid, I thought it was time to use up the 30GB of fraps I'd accumulated in the past 3 weeks...
After seeing the likes of Kil2 and Cown masterpieces, I know my first vid is mainly full of AIDS and I of course appreciate any feedback and critism (yes I haven't sussed out encoding / widescreen yet)

You do need to work on the aspect ratio a bit, as you said, but other than that I am really looking forward to it. The last vid from Mukrakr has already found a permanent home in my eve-videos folder.

What do you mean m8? Sorry i r self confessed noob. Do you mean the fraps resolution sizes? If I accidentally fraps in the wrong res, is there a way to change it retrospectivately?

Your trailer appears to be fine going from right to left, but it looks like someone is squeezing it from top to bottom. For example, your HUD looks fat, instead of how it should look, which is a circle.
When I stretched your video a little, but expanding it up/down to fill my screen, it looked normal. I'm not a video expert, but I don't think you can fraps in a 4:3 aspect ratio and then convert it to a 16:10 or whatever widescreen is without it doing that. If you want widescreen, you need to fraps in widescreen. (But then again, I could be totally wrong, not an expert)

Yeah, if you look, EVE actually has a Widescreen option in the graphics settings, take a peek in there if you haven't already. If not, make sure your windows codec profile actually renders at the resolution you use. for example you could be using 1152 x 864 and your fraps footage is frapsed in widescreen.

Yeh cheers for the feedback so far.
My local box is always far too big but I like having as much intel on my overview as possible (Corp / Speed / Type etc) so it's always inevitably big :(
