"emo" refers to a certain (admittedly annoying) subset of punk. It does not means "goth". It does not mean "morbid". It does not mean "wears black". It does not mean "depressed". It does not mean "suicidal". It means "person who listens to emo music and dresses in the emo style". It especially annoys me when people imply that goth and emo are the same. They listen to entirely different music, dress entirely differently, hang out at different clubs/shows/etc, and probably wouldn't get along. It's like saying hippies are the same as metal-heads because they both have long hair. My vote for stupidest MMO term is definitely (grits teeth) "toon". Ugh, I feel dirty just typing it.
