(I posted this in general forum, but was told to try here)
You see I have 4 chars who run missions and rat. Every once in a while I fill up my frighters and fly to major trade hubs to set up contracts and sell orders, and I hate this part. Checking day prices on items and setting up hundreds of sell orders. It's just not me.
My idea is: someone thrustworthy could set up a shop, where I could unload all my cargo, and then they would sell all that stuff. "The seller" would then keep 5-10 % of final isk generated, and give me the rest. I often sell for 3-4 billion pr. run, so the seller would earn a nice bit, and I would save lot of precious time. Extra service could be: "the seller" comes to my location and picks up all my loot to sell it.
I'm aware that this is pretty risky for me and I could easy loose 3-4 billion to a scammer, but if someone thrusworthy did this, then it just might work. Don't mail me your offers. I want to see a "shop" running successfully for a while, before I risk 3-4 billions to it
What do you think? Is this doable, or is it just another stupid idea? I'm a big boy - I can take some flaming
BTW this is just my alt

I'm not saying he would take you on, but I know Shar has done this for several people.

Simpler proposal: place sell orders where you run your missions at discounts vs. Jita prices, and reprocess the vast majority of items into minerals. No further effort needed on your part; just give people an idea of where to find you. Zzz research towers Direrie NEW: Liekuri

Well seriuosly though if you dont trust your partner then you could solve it by hauling it to the hub then with contracts reomtely "portion" the loot out until there is enough trust

Why worry about scammers? Just find someone willing to take it to Jita for a fee (easy if its 5-10% of your loot value). I would suggest getting something that will calculate your asset value first though.

I do very similar things for other people, Give me an eve-mail or something I can probably take care of it. If you don't trust me and I suppose there is no reason yet to do so, I should be able to offer significant collateral.

If you haven't found anyone yet... I have quite a few open market slots available since I've change my trading time tables lately. |

Depends...if you can find stuff cheap enough, I'd be willing to buy massive amounts of stuff at a shot. I hate doing region wide buy orders for little stuff, since I end up with crap in dead systems, and its a waste to use a gob of buy orders for small crap on just the good systems, but the margin on some items is fantastic.
It's doable, just arrange everything so you sell the product to the reseller all at once. No money loaned out, no risk. Obviously, you sell a chunk under retail price, so both of you make out decent.
Between jobs, haul stuff to/from jita or consolidate region wide buy orders into freighter loads.

Honestly 5-10% is not a very high payment for this. I see where you are coming from, but it depends on how many items there are, etc. If you have 10 items that sell for 3-4 bil then 5-10% is decent... but if you have 100+ items then it's a lot of effort, especially if they are slow moving items.
I've heard of people doing similar things in the past and making 30-40%, but it was on regular mission loot (ie, mostly crap), so the person would sort through it and pay the mission runner 60%-70% of the expected value for the loot.
