Edited by: Guillight BLue on 07/07/2008 10:54:38 Guess that's what you get when you got only a single-shard environment with 30-40k people online at the same time.
As new player it's really a pain atm. Everything is perma farmed in High Sec.
I started over with a fresh character, but the only thing you can do right now is just doing agent missions. That's it.
DED's: Perma Farmed!
Astroid Belt's: Perma Farmed! (both in mining as rat hunting!)
It's a real shame, but it seems that EVE is running out of Space litterly and ironically.
I am really at a point to just cancel and give up, because I'm really not interested to go into lowsec with a 900k SP character. Just plain suicide! No fun in getting one-shotted by T2 frigs and HAC's.
Cheers

And you are Gallente, that makes it a bit worse too. As Gallente and Caldari are the two most popular races. Thus their High Sec systems are really crowded atm.
I have an Amarr alt as well. So as this race is the least favorite one. I just might continue at that one.
Guess playing the least favorite class can have it's advantage atm :)

@Guillight
Asteroid belt are maybe around the rush-hours and in the systems with major traffik farmed, but if you jump one gate further there is ALWAYS enough to mine and rat.
I never understood why people are ratting in belts in highsec anyway.....it¦s just no real profit in it.
Edit: Typo....
I know, but some people like me have a fulltime job, so my only choice is to play in Primetime. But then again. There isn't really a primetime as almost the whole world plays on the same server remember ;) So it's always primetime anyway.
Hidden complexes are also farmed, as you can get exploration skills up pretty fast :( So it's just like salvaging, one of the first skills people get these days.
I am not into mining anymore. Way too tedious now with so many people online atm. I did a lot of mining till over a year ago, when there was plenty to mine and decent profit to be made, without spending ridiculous ammounts of SP to get those large very expensive mining vessels so you can mine enough quantities to make decent profit.
I know it's all about contested and competition. But at this moment EVE Online is slowly starting to become a victim of it's own success. You get so many new people in High Sec that playing becomes litterly tedious.
The only solution I see in this is the introduction of new races and thus creating more starting areas to spread the new players out a bit more.
Cheers
