ok so my gaming computer has been in the shop for the past week and a half and im starting to have withdraws from eve, i need somthing to do to pass the time (probably another 2 weeks before it gets back). HALP

hmmm dealing with eve withdraw is the hardest. i would say buy a new computer and play eve. and when ur old comp gets back you can run a maco program on one to make iskies. and play on ur new one.
[i am in no way condoning the use of a macro miner, as this is a viloation of ccp policy]

they are having to replace the entire motherboard and hdd (still on warranty and i didn't want to buy new parts) because of heat issues (fan assembly crapped out on me again and i didn't realize it)

How are you on the forums if your computer is broken? If you have access to another computer - put Eve on it. If it wont run Eve, troll the forums. Some people are more active in forum warfare than actual in-space combat.

in your downtime learn how to fix your computer yourself so all you have to do is wait until the new mobo gets there and then just pop it in...
it's not hard at all

oh i know how to fix it, it just still had the warranty and they usually just replace everything that isnt working properly. so its pretty much like getting a new comp

The only problems with sending a computer back for warranty repairs are that they'll either wipe your HDD (most people don't have a backup) and/or they'll find your **** <edit> mucky pics </edit>
