If a drake happens to have arbalest the price goes insanely high so i think 40m is a good asking price and many have payed.

The OP's chat log is legit, but the "10mill and you live" was a typo on Alchemos' part. It's just too screwy otherwise. Why would someone offer 12 mil and the pirate counter with 10? Chances are, if the OP was making up a story, he wouldn't throw in something that made no sense. Therefore, it probably happened. But by the time all this came out, Alchemos was in too deep to lose face, so he edited his own chat log. As for the six second time between the 12m offer and the 10m offer, anyone who is a reasonable typist can do that. Average comprehension rate is under a second for a 6 word sentence. Without access to both files, there is no way to verify which file is the correct one. Various programs can be used to determine who is telling the truth Based upon the evidence provided by both sides, I'm inclined to believe the OP over MSCC. Reasons are pretty simple, the OP had to be told where the logs were before he posted his log. Likelyhood of him editing the log is pretty low, but not non-existant. MSCC waited another 6 hours before posting their logs. 6 hours is more then enough time to edit one number, and remove a line. [ 2008.07.09 20:32:54 ] Alchemos > ransom? Note the time stamps on the second and third lines. There is a 15 second gap, which would allow for a line to have been removed. Now, under normal circumstances a refund of ransom would be in order. Weither or not MSCC does abide by the code that nearly all other pirates abide by, is another story. Tchell, people do change how they type in mid-stream all the time. You may not, but others do.
