If you pay their ransom they get a screen to accept or not. They accept, then if they kill you anyway the isks they accepted get withdrawn and put back into your wallet. The idea needs some work but it's viable and it is a good idea in the works I do believe...

It's been said before several times and the answer is always the same. I don't like people who break ransoms simply because it's bad for buisiness. However putting in any sort of automated method for ransoms that guarentees it will just kill eve a little bit. It's just an importaint fact of EVE that these things are on the guy with the larger gun's terms and shouldn't be babysat by CCP. This should not force the pirate to honour the ransom though, should just mean less clicking about for the pirate and arguing and other such stuff.

Personally I prefer taking a shot at them and getting vapourised. If you don't pay and get killed, tough. If you pay and still get killed well then maybe next time you take the vapour option, it's far more fun. In a game where there are almost no rules (which is why I love it so much) it seems a little odd that some are asking for rules to be introduced to cover piracy and theft.
