Just insurance should be removed to make it more in line with the common sense.

CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that.

Now I know you're not selling freighters cos that idea will terminate the market instantly. TBH, there's no reason to scan a freighter at the moment, just pop it and see what comes out. You still get all your ship costs back if there's nothing so you don't lose anything. The freighter pilots always lose half a billion at least even after the insurance payout garanteed. -- There's a simple difference between kinky and perverted. The average pirate in EvE is after gank not fight and most of them are pussies. Reward comes with risk, if u want reward w/o risk u r worse than whiney carebears. CCP will evantually fix this becoz its practically possible to stop all hauler activity in empire by a dedicated group of ppl with almost no consequences. Its all about determination and effort put into it. And if that happens the whines will be so loud that CCP will be forced to react as otherwise they will see loads of cancellations. You may delude yourselves all you want but at the end its abount RL iskies and the current insurance system allows to ** whiney carebears hardcore even if they are not on AP. Too many possible damage multipliers (hello upgraded DPS cheap-as-hell siege launchers, hello faction ammo, hello cheap damage implants, hello overloaded weapons), too little actual loss (hello bottomed-out ship prices, only kept afloat by BPC and manufacture line costs due to overcrowding of wannabe manufacturers) due to FIXED-POINT insurance payouts regardless of mineral prices and so on and so forth. The damage dealt possible before CONCORD shows up compared to actual cost of suicide-ganking is quite appaling right now. So... remove suicide ganking ? No freaking way. Increase cost a little ? If you're not afraid to lose it to a suicide-ganker and it makes you undestructible from mission NPCs, why wouldn't you want it ?
