just wondering. I know downtime is required daily, and I know CCP wouldn't like coming in at 3 am to apply fixes, and reset things, but a normal workday is 9-5, why not move the dt around during that period? like on mondays it could be from 10-11 CCP time, tuesdays 11-12 Wednesdays 12-1 etc, it would take some getting used to at first but it could help players in the timezones most affected (Australia) without inconveniencing CCP too terribly. __________________________________________________ |

I feel for ya pain...
but I can imagine the major increase of posts about downtime being in the smack of playtime in Europe and North America....

Doesn't this just move it from like 8pm to 9pm to 10pm Sydney time? How is this super helpful I thought a lot of people like to play weeknights around then.

DT is at 7 am here, it doesn't affect me too terribly. But I'm in support of fairness and not making it hard to play in certain regions. __________________________________________________ |

Edited by: Karanth on 10/07/2008 05:42:35 They didn't move it the first time, or the second, or the ten thousandth time. Why would they do it now?
EDIT: It's for them, not for you. You are not that important, compared to the people making EVE work.

because thats how they work
they go to work in the morning... start preping for DT. then at 10 it hits and they can work. if something happens they can fix it whitin work hours. or else the admins need to be paid overtime :/ ---------------------------------- Fighting for Minmatar o7 Yes... this is my main. The selected time is when the least amount of people are on. But either way, SOMEONE is going to be annoyed. You just have to live with it...

Actually studies have revealed that for the past years almost no one is online between 11:00 to 12:00 GMT, so thats is where DT will be...

Actually DT is not only done during their work time, but also at a time when the player base that is online is at a the lowest rate during the 24hr period.
and besides I donĘt mind it being at 11GMT, it just means I can go get some lunch

I live in Australia and it encourages me to go to bed :) its from 9-10pm my time, though i am in school. Point is CCP will do what needs to be done. They have put DT where the least amount of players get online..and there not going to change it for you or anyone else unless it suits them. So please stop making silly threads :( Sahriah Bloodstone Pilot of The Crimson Federation
