Same reason global oil prices spike in real life.
Speculators and commodities traders.

The turmoil in the drone regions should give you a clue. People tend to rush into getting all stuff secured, money in the bank/wallet, etc. All this combined with the duration of hostilities and speculators has the result you see.

Well if you are right the prices should climb back in a while , cause turmoil should result in poeple not able to get zyd . -

Well, I'm one of the latter but tbh it usaly feels like I am stabilizing the prices because I diminish changes in supply vs demand.
Then again I almost always see the prices drop considerably when I stop trading (e.g. when I have no net access for a while).

I think they will be back on course. Iron moving back to dek, ka-tet gone, rk gone +others, we have irc, xix, solar and maybe some of their friends. Solar and xix just do not seem the carebeary type to me.
I suspect they will launch into more pvp, going north at MH or maybe Pure. Raids into Venal.
Only way prices keep this way is if the ruskies have some pets/friends/residents/etc. carebearing like hell, more than the previous region(s) exploiters, while they do pvp.

good, lol which system are you in? i might actually be able to manufacture some of the ship bp's i have sitting in my hangar collecting dust, my main problems are zydrine and megacyte, which are low sec ores, im not part of an alliance so i dont have ready access to them, and a low sec mining op is dangerous, and i dont have all the money in the world, lol i want another myrmidon and brutix, which i have bp's for, and not the cash to buy them off the market directly
so again, which system are you in plz

your right, sadly most of these posters who make "omg the sky is falling" post about their particular mineral normally dont see it in terms of percenteges, but in raw numbers. --

" Zydrine pirces falling like a rock "
Like a soft, fluffy, air filled rock ! I mean pillow. Err, I mean, feather. In upwards wind. So, more like hovering and sliding rather than falling. But, yeah, well, you get the idea... we're DOOMED !

Might have something to do with the low-ends going up in price. Insurance tends to balance that out. ...

Absolutely. Why should fighters be able to produce minerals? Should you give loot for popping asteroids?
