Edited by: Sauiki on 11/07/2008 21:36:08 I've been trading for a while now, and I am starting to get the hang of it but i'd like to experiment with something. This is a potential idea I have thought about doing for quite a while.
Its a [service] (I think) which would involve using market research to find out various popular modules that are frequently used by people and in what combinations.
THE IDEA
Imagine this scenario: Your sitting in your home system happily missioning (or whatever else you may choose to do). Suddenly! your ship takes a hit you can't handle, your scrambled, webbed and deaded... Now you have a few options, you can choose to buy a new ship and kit it out with whatever is on offer at that current system or you could eve mail ME My job would be simple. You write me a list of exactly what you want, I shop around for you, we arrange a drop off point and thats that.
So in short my idea is kinda like internet shopping. You pick out exactly what you want, all that named stuff you can't get in your home system etc etc. I buy it and give it to you in one package. I figured payment could be the cost of the ship & modules + a percentage of the total cost of the ship/s & modules + a standard charge per jump from Jita to your (high sec) destination. I will be able to fly a freighter shortly so i thought this would be a good way to utilize it.
Tell me what you think and if someone else already does this...

WTB contracts would do this.

I'd give it 1 week till a pirate put you on contract to fill your freighter with a full load of officer gear, rigs, implants, and a marauder.
Then asked it delivered to a 0.5.

Hehe, yes that could be a potential problem... possibly a collateral from the buyer

In which case the risk is shifted to the buyer -- what's to keep you from either running off with the cash or ganking yourself and keeping most of the loot?
Contracts already do this. But nobody uses them because it's just easier to buy in-station. Most mission hubs are pretty well stocked at trade hub prices +10% or better anyway. As far as faction gear -- well, 10% on a 1B module is... 100M. I'd make a Jita trip to save that much.
You can try this, but I doubt you'll have many customers. Now, offer popular suicide fitted ships (e.g. raven, named siege launchers, 24 round packages of navy torps, drones, etc) on contract at popular suiciding spots and you may have something.
