I'm a Minmatar toon who missions in Caldari space. I want to get into Factional Warfare without moving back to Minmatar space, but my standing with Caldari State is -0.64 before adjustments and I need 0.5 to sign up.
What's the best way to grind faction standing? As it is, I run l4's for Caldari Navy and have a CN Standing of 5.31 before adjustments (I have Diplomacy 4, so my effective standings are higher, but only absolute standings count for signing up to a Militia).

Thats not difficult.
To gain faction standing you need to do storyline missions. The more storyline missions you can do in a short amount of time, the quicker you gain standing. So the only way to gain faction standing fast is to decrease the amount of time between the storyline missions.
Thats simply done by doing courier missions. Most time they are only a few jumps far, and can be done in a shuttle or a fast frig. Some require an indy, but nothing special.
Just search an agent which gives out mostly courier missions (like a manufacturing agent for example). Thats all.

1. Isn't there a skill which you can train which increases your faction standings ?
2. Does working with Lv2 agent gives better (more rewarding) Storyline Missions ?

1. Yes, there's skills which alter effective standings, but they don't affect the requirements for FW.
2. As noted above, it's storyline missions which alter faction standing, not level'd agents, they alter corp standing (and that increase increases with higher level agents, l4's seem to give me about .1 standing per mission).

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll do that or run through some quick l2's rather than the 2+ hour l4's I've been running.
