When we toll a pod and ask for 3mil in case he have implants. We dont know he have implants, he knows we dont know. He will try to make us beleve he dont care about his life and that his clone only cost 500k. So he will bargine that 3mil down, or he will try to sneak him self out of the stasis grip... so we pod him. Next time when he comes with them implants and see me. he knows that if he dont pay he die. So if he do have implants the chance of he paying them 3mil have grown.
So why do we pod ?

The sad thing about this whole thing is there was actually a large force in aunenen ready to take the pirates on. Instead of actually getting there and fighting them though they let the pirates sit at the gate at 170k or so picking off the frigs and cruisers in teh group. The group was scared to take them on at close range even though the bs total was 5 on 5 with the aunenen force having many cruisers and frigs in support. The pirates won this fight because the force that responded lacked organization and they were scared of the pirates even though they outnumbered them by close to 10 ships if not more. Pirates are not uber...most people killed by them are just not careful and are not alert. Those that are sick of being killed by pirates quit whining, get some buddies together and take the pirates on....even if you die at least you will having a good fight,

Lady, I don't know you. I know some of the crew you choose to hang with, however and that doesn't bode well for your character's trustworthiness.
Profitability can be had without setting out to intentionally ruin the day of new and generally helpless players and it can be had in much larger portions.
You made next to nothing if it took you 5 days to gather that much isk. 25 people, you say? Mine or chain for four hours on a weekend and call yourself profitable and ready to head out for real PvP. You wouldn't do it if you didn't *enjoy* it at some level. What you made is NOT enough to call yourself profitable after that much work with that many people involved. It would rank your activities as one of the least profitable, actually and leave only other types of payoff (of the sadistic variety).
Your excuse doesn't fly with me, sorry. It's griefing. Gate camping is NOT a bad thing in my eyes, it is in fact necessary in parts of the universe and yes, it is horrendously boring most times. Doing so in empire space and to mostly new players is a bad thing. By all means, though, continue. It makes you all easy to find.

Not our fault that alliance players have bookmarks and use the cloaking exploit. This makes it nessesairy to pirate in empire, because we cannot live from the loot of 3-4 BS we catch in 0.0. I guess CCP will learn to balance. IT SHOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR AN INDY TO BREAK THROUGH A BLOCKADE IN 0.0. Bookmarks and cloaking exploit (the valif tactic) makes it easy - unstopable.

i still remember when i first enetered a 0.4 system or lower a window popped up wich said something like "you are about to enter dangerous grounds...concord will not blabla" people that smacktalk,whine or say exploit when their ship gets blown up should think back about that lil window that popped up..
if you dont like it DONT go into unsecure space stay in carebear space and fitt all your ships out with all carebear modules.
look at the map when you're traveling trough unsecure space i dont care what you do but plz stop calling this an exploit.
if this would have been an exploit ccp has to make sure its not possible.
"ccp cant do that?" fu they can change the range on the sentrygun well i'm 100% sure they can change the damage too , set it so that that they do like 100.000 damage every second.
to the people that gatecamp if you see IOCTL pop into local just stop tanking the guns and make a run for it lol
last time we tanked the guns we had 3 BS's 5 cruisers 2 intys and some frigs and IOCTL just warped in on us and started to shoot the crap out of us after i convo'ed himm he said his shields didnt go under 50% and his capa was still at 85%
he does this all the time trowing himself into such battles and mostly comes out as the winner
much respect to IOCTL for that you got yourself a fan here
ps: we lost 4 cruisers that night and 1 BS lmao

Somebody friendly to you with better security status must have brought it there and given it to you.

Read carefully .... i said it's borderline to exploiting.
From a roleplaying point of view you could see it as smuggling special equipment in for "terrorist" attacks

Well, it's evident that this tactic is not an exploit, but is in the gray area or borderline to an exploit per a CCP new hire. It's not like the Yulai incident from what he/she tells me.
I give credit to ppl who did this. In the end, it was I who failed to ck who was in local before warping to the gate, and I paid the untimate price by having my Ibis and 1 unit of Trit taken from me. Not a big loss, but a loss none the less. At least I was awarded 2K ISK for an uninsured Ibis, hehe. |

I've nearly been killed by gate-campers, when I was in my most praised possession, the Armageddon I just spent all my resources on, I've been killed by gate campers, althou I didn't lose the precious Arma, I've "visited" gate camping zones on purpose.
I personally see nothing wrong with shooting people and demanding "ransom" for not killing them, it'a profession that in some cases is quite wortwhile, see some of the m0o people out there, hunting the belt and looking for miners and demanding ransom for their ships, if there's money to be made from being a pirate, I have nothing against it :P.

I hope Jinx TyDevi,Atzavara,XONXERCES,Zatara,Ammundan and Jinx TyDevi have all been added to the increased toll list for there bad manners.
I have been tolled twice now. Once by a n00b pirate in 0.3 space. He couldn't tell the difference between a condor and a cruise missile totting crow. He burned. and once by a professional bunch deep into 0.0.
Its part of the game. If I see people in local I don't know I start looking to see which gate they are camping. You can use the directional scanner to spot people massing at a gate.

Hell sometimes I go straight through camped gates for a laugh. If I get caught, I get caught, If I escape I have a laugh in local then run for my life.

khainestar, the bad thing about it was i had caught Xonxerces in a belt somewhere in empire and had let her dom go for next to nothing, cause i was in a good mood. I prolly would have gotten more if i had of just blown her up, but i suppose thats what ya get for being nice to people....the convo with Zarquon was nothing compared to the pages of smacktalk in local.
Funny thing is, she wanted to join my corp....but i thought id wait and see...hehe..lucky me

it always amazes me when i get mails that Aunenen is being camped, can u guys help..... Aunenen is next to Nonni... im sure a army of 20 BS could be mustered just from this system alone.... Nonni is like the centre of EVE:).
get organised, get into a gang, use ECM well....
now the new patch has made it so that ALL ships in gang must have shields.... think about that one next time.. no seperate tanking ship to soak up fire...

btw, Darth they did muster a force to combat us, they outnumbered us by 1 or 2 on the bs and had a load of frigs and cruisers for support, we could not possible engage em all within sentry gun range, so we moved out of it and picked off all their cruisers and stuff.
tbh Lamech (think he posted earlier) was the only 1 who kinda knew what to do. But they had better numbers and they should have really attacked. personally i dont have a problem attacking anyone, with any numbers
