Am I the only one that has the impression that BoB is deliberately lowering expectations about their standard of fighting in an effort to lull the North into a false sense of security? It's Sun Tzu at it's most basic and I hope that the North aren't falling for it...

No, don't think so. They are probably trying their best to take out that cyno jammer. Sooner or later they'll probably succeed. It's not like they're gonna run out of ships.

Personally I think it's just impossible. Ragoons and the entire NCC attempted it for months on end and failed. It's just not possible, apparently.

No, I think it's just a matter of lag, and the classic defender advantage highlighted by it.
But it's pretty funny to see that the Bob renters keep boasting about NOL and Delve, if they get their heads handed to them consistently when THEY are the attackers.

You're wrong, BoB are doing their best, BoB are the best alliance in eve, but despite rumour, they can't simple press a button to conquer a system.
Unlike most alliances though, when facing a challenge they shut up and work on it, rather than hit the forum alts (hi forum alts \o).

BoB's been hemorrhaging experienced pilots for over a year, and to keep their numbers up they've been recruiting garbage from their shittier pets. Of course their quality's going to take a nosedive as a result.
Not to mention the fact that BoB was never particularly good at straight-up fleet fights. They've got maybe one good FC. |

I just call him "annoying", but at least he posts with his main. Sometimes people quote windypops and it's pretty bad because the caod cleaner won't filter it

So Mr Prime, let's see if you have the balls to make a prediction here. In your view the Max campaign won't manage to topple a single Cynojammed system in, what, a week? Would you agree with that statement?
Think of it as kind of like a COAD dance-off, only involving internet spaceships.
In my view GBS will CERTAINLY topple a cyno jammed system by the end of next Sunday.
Are you prepared to make any firm predictions other than *****ing about on the sidelines making ineffectual posts?

Given enough time and treasure, eventually they will be able to kill a cyno jammer. How many thousands of ships/pods they will lose to make that happen is the real question. They had an entire fleet curbstomped today, and all they managed to do to wreck the North's infastructure is one small pos.

But RA, Goonswarm and the NCC have the most tempting chance to wipe out all of the GBC capital fleet in one go. It's away from home, in systems that they can consider friendly. I really don't understand why they don't have the balls to invade it, wipe out most of the GBC caps, then leap to a full on assault on NOL.
Pretty daft if you ask me - you'll never get a better chance to take out the GBC.
Why aren't they going for the capitals? That's what I don't understand.

Erm, because they don't need to?
Why would they give up a defensive position like they have just to kill a few caps. They are the ones defending here, not BoB. All they have to do is protect the cynojammers. If they were to leave them and go on a rampage, sure, they might get a few super caps but it would only benefit BoB.

Says someone from IAC. And obviously they have killed more than 1 tower. How many systems have dropped sov around saranen in last few days? And Im sure the GBC thanks the RA pilot who thought unanchoring a domination tower with 60BS+support 2 jumps away was a good idea.
