So, i got my mini frig to 5 yeesterday as i have been getting a little bored with caldari ships and i brought a jagaur from a friend who needed the isk. Anyway, i been playing around with eft, and the dps was really impressive and the tank was mediocre at best. This is what i came up with:
3x 200m IIs
1x named rocket launcher
1x best named MWD
1x best named web
1x best named scrambler
1x med sheild extender II
1x Gyro II
1x damage control (named)
1x auxilary power core
So was setups are tried and tested? Whats the cookie cutter setup for pvp? Thanks alot for any comments :P

That is pretty cookiecutter. Works for killing frigs and some cruisers.

Maybe switch rockets for neut, even though it compromises my general rule of thumb: Moar DPS!
i whould also try a cap booster instead of shield extender and have a repper in lows? But then im biased towards armor tanking everything.

Heres my setup it hit's around 3.7-4km/sec with gang bonus. It is a decent heavy tackler and the dps is much better then a stiletto or similar interceptor, with better fitting skills then I have you could probably upgrade to a T2 MSE. Some times I switch out the shield extender for a sensor booster (mainly gate camping). Tanks on any frig are meaningless use the speed to keep you alive I've done stuff like jump through gate and tackle BS's (orbit tight and your untouchable, target drones if you need to...) Arguably an interceptor is a better ship for this I fly both a Jag and a Stilletto, I fit them both the same in the mid slots the big difference is the Jag gives you a nicer hp buffer at the cost of lower speed and lock time. If you have other interceptors in your gang it's dps can really help.
I'm the sabre pilot in this km but you can see the sort of small gangs we used em in here (terrible domi fit too :P)

I've only had 1 real 1 v 1 fight with it went up against a guy in a Taranis at a gate he thought he'd be a smart ass by dive bombing me I got him webbed and kept him out of my hair using barrage ammo he was going down fast till he's lone ecm drone got a lucky jam and he warped out on fire

Dont fit 200 mms on Jag. They cripple your fitting and 3x150 vs 3x200 is about 3 DPS loss, which will be well compensated by better tracking of 150s and a rocket launcher you can fit. Your tank will be better also because of T2 MSE.

If you fit a regolith extender instead of the t2 you dont need the implant and AWU at all. Also I like to use another overdrive instead of the gyro since dps will be low anyway and more speed can never hurt.

With my skills, it does 102 DPS and more importantly - 498 alpha strike at 16 optimal with republic titanium sabot or 609 alpha strike at 9.1 optimal. It can hit and tank fast moving interceptors w/ the TP which is its role. Moves at 2268m/s. While not fast enough that's on the faster end of the AF range.

Regolith will give you considerably less HP. Lowslots are obviously optional, but TBH trying to maximize Jag speed brings you to a slow Claw :) Gyro helps with fending off the drones though. Anyway, its a choice.

I use it mostly against frigs/ceptors and to tackle webless fast ships, with around 3.5km/s (4+km/s with skirmish5 gangbooster), it does the job quite good. I dont need much dps there obviously though.
