MC assembled and led an assortment of alliances that were able to 'steamroll' the opposition because that's just how you did it back then. You planned properly, you went 1-2 systems at a time, crushed everything there and pushed forward. It worked, quite simply, because the Alliance forces had more stamina and were more bold / relentless. Comparing what MC and their allies did last year with what is going on now is just wrong. The entire game mechanic has changed and to say that the Northern Coalition had bad comms last spring (thus neutering their ability to coordinate defenses) would be putting it nicely. The 'North' that exists today has obviously learned from past mistakes and looks ready to rumble. Lastly, MC didn't 'win' overnight either. It took a couple months of hard work. Let's see what the map looks like in late August (or even a week from now FFS) before anyone else makes more silly predictions. (Hopeless, I know, but there it is.) -

To me this is exactly what BoB have set out to do (I'm not sure they wanted the huge BS losses) become a pain in the rear and control the game of those who they set their sights on. Two points to be made here, not that I have any liking for BoB. First, when MC invaded Deklein, cynojammers didn't exist. in fact, at the time, barely anyone had much of a cap fleet, so it was an easy steamroll over lots of T1 ships. I was there, I got steamrolled. Secondly, "shooting a few POSes" belies the fact that you know jack shit about moon mining. Taking out 2 POSes can make a 10b isk/month in an alliance's income. Right now, Eve is a game of moon control. If your alliance has good moons, it can afford to replace caps, and you can play with the big boys. If you don't have any good moons, you might as well pack up your space now, unless of course you're part of one of the massive NAP pacts that is allowing thousands of people to actually enjoy Eve right now.

Or you just gang all your caps ship up and sit in a pointless system shooting a few moon mining pos's (the are many more moons so don't think the ones they have are that important) then ask everyone to come fight you? I'll just repeat my self on this... you have come looking for the fights..... its like getting a few rocket launchers and going to a side street and challenging everyone passing you for a 'fair' fight, honest!
