Im looking for some friends in Switzerland, as I will be moving to Les Mosses in Vaud!

I might be working in Yverdon-les Bains in the foreseeable future if companies get sorted out.
what's it like in that area, in terms of interesting living?

I've spent quite some time in the area - mostly based on Lausanne but traveling frequently around - and I loved it, great for hiking too. I even had the idea to retire there when the time comes. It was always on summers though, except one time I went during deep winter up in the mountains and this Southerner found the cold a tad too extreme for my tastes.
I've also visited the German side of Switzerland, but personally I prefer the French part around Lake Geneva. If you are going now check out the festivals they throw around the area - I remember in particular having a lot of fun in Montreaux during the Summer Jazz festival, walking all around town deliciously drunk on local white wine.

TBH I hate swiss Germans. The language is SOOO goddamn ugly and the people are jerks.
Ohh I forgot to mention. I am Swiss. Since your near Lausanne, have you been to Leysin? Take the train to Aigle, take the cog train up to leysin and your in my hometown. Get off in Feydey to be near The Top Pub, great place to meet english speakers and drink, or get off on the 2nd stop in the town to be up the street from my best friends house.
Also I went to the 2006 Montreux Jazz festival and missed the 2007 because of work in leysin. Never got time cuz I was working the entire week that it was going on.
