An Independant Miner? Or something much worse?
Since the dawn of Revelations, as New Eden spirals toward war, Commander lightning was born into the universe of Eve.
In his early pod days, being settled in stations amongst the Lonetrek regions, he found himself studying almost all day and all night. Studying involved countless hours of reading books, bought from nearby systems. All seemed dull in the young eyes of the Commander as he looked upon the vast stars of EvE, but that was soon about to change.
Two months on and we see the Commander out of the Lonetrek region - his first home, and already involved in much of the chaotic as it is profitable system that many refer to as 'captial of lag,' Jita. This haven for all that is ISK rich, the commander was impressed by the countless deals, bitter squabbling and noise, that showed the true form of the eve economy thriving from such a remote location in the middle nowhere. It was from here, Commander Lightning was to learn the abilities of piloting much larger vessels, learning countless more books of wisdom, and finally begin his journey to a career into wealth and prosperity.
As time progressed for the young pilot, he had seen skirmishes minor and major between enemies and allies, and the bickering from messages passed over public radio channels. Alliances and corperations were breaking down over petty things, ships were blown to pieces and the pirates were returning to destroy the weakenend corperations left for dead.
The site at such occurances made Commander Lightning feel intimidated, by what greed would do to all groups of individuals bent on conquest. It was this that somehow decided the Commanders fate, of being independant, a sole trader as you will, in the EvE Universe.
As the timeline hit the first year.. The Commander has already developed the skills to pilot just about any caldari craft could throw at him. From then on, the Commander became 'Commander' of his own mining barge donned 'Pegasus.'
Pegasus was a long mining barge that was painted in black, showing a small lightning bolt insignia in bright yellow down each side. The craft remains unknown, but it has been rumoured not to be anything more than a Retriever ORE vessel with some high end upgrades and a paintjob.
It was Pegasus that would enable this future talented miner to fly far out to somewhere completly remote, controversial to the manic system of jita that the commander so loved at first site. From wherever this remote location would be, the commander took a large collection of highly sophisticated books, and enough food to survive a pretty long and enduring space of time. It is unknown when the Commander actually left for his own journey, but it has been 6 months since any recorded contact with this character.
This is as far as the story goes today. No one has recorded any sightings of Commander Lightning since. Rumours have it amongst a few what were close to the Commander, that he is still an Independant miner, drifting amongst the stars earning his own fortune.
EvE is becoming more and more rife with war, greed and power, as the biggest alliances will clash, races will have civil wars. The Empyean Age is now upon us.
Will Commander Lightning return rich with knowledge and wealth ready to build up a force to aid the Caldari? Or will he work for a more sinister group of individuals hell bent of destruction and greed?Or Will we never hear from this lonewolf individual ever again?
Only time will tell.
