The community that playes eve undoubtably loves Science Fiction. - If you don't then this is not a topic for you -
Wouldn't it be nice to see wrecks of the most famous Spacecraft floating in space? Or make it a dockable spacecraft, similarly to stations.
If you like this, help me to support this. We'll leave the legal matters to CCP
I'll start with posting three spaceships I like the most:

The legal matters, along with "storyline" are what would hinder this the most.
Nostromo was from Aliens. Defiant is Star Trek. BSG is... BSG.
If you want notable wrecks, then how about the first Titan kill, or the first Rorqual... or the first epic fleet battle.
Importing wrecks from sci-fi movies and TV shows will have no bearing on the Eve setting. How did the Nostromo or Defiant, which are essentially from a parallel universe, get here?
Eve doesn't need cameo's like WoW is full of... sorry. ---
Don't take my rantings personally. I may just be arguing the topic... unless you're saying something stupid, and then I mean every word. |

I could see the first titan wreck in a fleet battle being imortalized. make it look like a it was taken over by minimitars and turned into a new space station :D.

Nostromo was from ALIEN, not Aliens.
On topic: Eve's independence has to stay, but as a SciFi buff i understand the reason to do this. We don't want to resemble some other MMO with bad ideas. So if it could be moulded into a good idea, why not.

WHEW! Boy, and I glad you caught that one! Otherwise, the result of such an important movie reference gone awry could have been disasterous.
/sarcasm
World of Warcraft has a great many pop culture references sprinkled throughout the gameplay. NPC names, places, events... which are mildly amusing at times.
But Eve is not quite so jovial a setting. And players coming here, and seeing the deadly nature of a Gate Camp/Suicide Gank... and then running across a floating british Telephone Booth, or an alien Cigar that's bent on finding out where the whales have gone... would destroy the mood, to say the least. ---

you obviously haven't been near the EVE system at any time. so you obviously haven't seen the monolith from 2001 a space odyssey.
some wrecks would be nice. like in http://www.eve-online.com/background/potw/03-jan-01.asp ---

Actually, I have seen the wallpaper image they call the Eve Gate. And last time I visited, the billions of Secure Cans with "LadysMan213 Waz Heer" for labels.
But I must have missed the monolith.
Screenshots! Or it never happened! ---

You need Space Ball 1, preferably transforming in to Mega Maid. Without that, its pointless to add other popular ships from other movies and series. -------------------------------------------------- Everyone is born right handed, only the great over come it.
