CCP should launch an official investigation and ban each and every member who helped with the botting. The old ceo actually posted the whole story on evenews24. it isnt fair that groups such as this have the overwhelming odds and numbers by cheating at the game. honest players are harmed and this hinders the whole experience. after reading the story I would like to see the following members get investigated. If you witness any of these players exhibiting botting activiy then you can right click and show info. So, perhaps its time to look at solving the problem in a similar way to introducing PLEX as a counter to outside RMT. Make it part of the game. Let CCP introduce a legal botting scheme for minig that's appropriatly restricted to prevent another puppetmaster from growing up. If done correctly it could even make the typical hi sec miner's career more fun by means of extension rather than replacement and give them excuse to do something else other than than becoming a carebear hate magnet. Just add it into the skill lists. It could open up some new jobs in ganking the competiton... And, we wouldn't have to listen to the company complain about not being able to deal with the issue, anymore. And yeah, if I were running for political office I'd legalize pot too and put an end to the border killings. ;) And before you scream, I am allowed a crazy idea once in a while. It's in my contract.

And I wouldn't call mining hard (no disrepect) as much as tedious with a five second rush if a gank squad actually happens to show. Such a system could bring new twists to the play mechanics making things more fun for miners and not just "easier." CCP have some creative staff members that could work such issues out and it might be a better alternative to the current state of play.

The difficulty is in staying awake, I mean. Its "hard" because its boring and most people don't want to do it. A vote for Akirei is a vote for Awesome!

You have no idea how this mentality will crash the in-game economy, do you? Please tell me you're just joking. Please! If CCP were to ever introduce a legal botting mechanism, then I will make a public agreement, signed in my own blood, that I will hunt down and destroy every mining vessel throughout New Eden even at the expense of my own standings and reputation. Mind you, I'm a miner at heart. I would rather let every miner in the galaxy hate my guts and rage quit till the day I biomass rather than see CCP allow botting. Welcome to Eve Online. Don't expect people to be nice to you.
