Simply put, black ops need a buff, and I think this would be an interesting start. Nothing fancy, just the logis we have now, maybe altered a bit (something that isn't tracking links on the scimi/oni equivalent maybe?), but slightly less powerful...perhaps only room for three reppers, rather than four. In return, they get the black ops' cloaked velocity bonus, as well as the ability to jump through a BO bridge and light covops cynos. (though why you'd have a cyno on a logi is beyond me)
Additionally, give them each a large cargo hold, to aid in ferrying fuel around...perhaps the gal one should retain the exequror's cargohold bonus. Might even make the use of the term "logistics" on a repair ship make a little more sense.
So there you have it, a black ops buff and new ships all in one. Shouldn't be overpowered since the new ships can't fit a covops cloak, and the ships are very specialized...as a T2 should be.

I agree i tried fitting up some t3 logis for it. but the reps do not reach far at all. I would love to see some new ships added, cloaky logis or bc size logis. I would even wouldnt mind training some new skills for them!
I was under the impression the t3's even with the sub systems can't rep farther than 10k |

I was under the impression the t3's even with the sub systems can't rep farther than 10k They can't. They also have tiny cargo bays. Using them as black ops logi would be about as effective as using them as normal logi...which is to say they kinda fail at it. Those subs are geared for spider tanking.
That's a suggestion for destroyer-hulled covops cloaking logi...not quite the same, really. And Besides, if you give a logi a covops cloak, you'll have them uncloaking alongside falcons for an even stronger "I Win" button.... |

You know you can fit a Cloaking device to normal Logistic ships? I dont see the IWIN tbh
Dont forget targeting delay! |

You know you can fit a Cloaking device to normal Logistic ships? I dont see the IWIN tbh Dont forget targeting delay! A normally cloaked logi cannot warp in unnoticed, and is painfully slow while cloaked, while still having a targeting delay. Mostly useless.
A covops logi could warp on grid without anyone noticing and have no targeting delay when it decides to decloak.
Black ops is a nice mix of the two. When it warps in, you know it's there, you know what you're up against...but once it cloaks it can still keep up with the rest of the BO gang while moving around the field, and engage alongside them due to the reduced targeting delay. |

This is just not true, the only ship with no targeting delay is the SB. Get your facts straight [:=d
But if you think that 6ish sec targeting delay is way too little then when this would be tested they could add a role penalty +100% Recalibration time, heck give it 150% or 200% lol The main thing here would be to allowe Logi to use covert cyno and more complicated Covert operations.
But since you oppose the idea in any case then there wouldnt be any arguing with you |

Note: can fit Covert Cynosural Field Generators and Covert Jump Portal Generators. No targeting delay after decloaking
BO battleship hulls have no targeting delay.
e: also, not sure I'm comfortable with the cov ops logi at all. The T3 ones are underwhelming in their current state, but they arrive within 5km of the cyno alongside everything else. The subsystem needs tweaking to make it a little more viable though, imo. |

I have always advocated that the BO themselves be redesigned to be forward operating bases/logistics/support by giving them a zero m3 maintenance array (ie. refitting, no hauling) and possibly RR bonuses. All they are now are projected DPS and bridges and Goddess know we have enough DPS to throw around.
Wouldn't need much in the way of RR bonus, half the range bonus of a logi or a bit more RR efficiency should suffice I think.
As for the original idea/plea: No more cloaking support craft please, Failcons are bad enough .. would hate to "force" solo-PvPers to choose between the untouchable link T3 and the cloaked ECM/Logi |
