anyone else play this? and if you do what race are your favorite?
i usaly play as the Tau. if you got gun drones burried as spotters at a narrow part of the map its likely that the hostiles dont even see the firewarriors that kill them!

In campaign I use eldar (I once made a base so strong I went AFK for an hour and the AI still couldn't crack it.

Imperial guard has always been my favourite since WA, I like the arty and other cool stuff like Curse of the machine spirit and the assassin. Before WA I usually played as Orks.

Space Marines all the way as my favorite. I'm currently am doing Empire on medium and I'm actually am having a tough time cause those troops are just so damn weak.

Amen! Not only that but Dark Reapers look awesome.
You know what I hate the msot about DOW? The Tau stronghold. that map is sooo annoying. Being attacked from 3 angles, stealthed snipers, their long range guns. That's the only stronghold I go "Ah crap, now I hafta fight THESE guys".

Have they released any "packs" of all these expansions? Or will I have to hunt down each one separately?

They most probably do sell them all in one. The cheap option, however, is to jsut buy Dark Crusade. It counts as an exception and yet it's a standalone game. you jsut need your DOW vanilla game code to unlock some of the races, which can easily be supplied using a keygen.

What I figured wasn't sure. I own the original. Acquired WA then stopped following it. I didn't even play WA much I was a tad burnt out by balance issues. (chaos was so weak...)

the tau don't bother me, I'm methodical with them and just choke certain points on my way up.
Now the eldar map is a real killer every time I face off. Just getting up those ramps is a real killer. Even when I played necron they held of my monolith and lord which is something none of the other races could do. Once you can get a squad or 2 up there to destroy a few buildings then you can advance a little harder.

My favourite would be the Necron. Their Tomb Spyders are amazingly good when you're stuck in a war of attrition somewhere and need to pump out more warriors. Or if you need to bring new immortals to an enemy base.
Also, <3 solar flare when facing tau. And don't even get me started on the monolith.

Necron + Sisters of Battle.
Sadly, I don't think any of them will make it into DoW 2 in the foreseeable future 
Other than that, I like Tau.

Imperial Guard are my fave to play as, along with Eldar. However, I'm best with Space Marines so I normally go them.

Imperial Guard. Because its the only race to have a really old man (with an amazing haircut) with a beat up brown robe, book, and massive chainsaw yelling "Out death will be magnificent!" Also baneblade is fun with a techpriest repairing it. Then you have the Orgyns "Daah boss we gots the thing!"

lemme guess...Carebears 'R' Us in the new version of the game?
I go Tau all the way, cos having a couple of hundred drones is just fun, especially if you're backed up by fire warriors almost half the map away
