Canthi	Posted - 2008.07.19 19:34:00 - [1] Hello all, just a question for those out there participating in the more shady side of eve. Say I was flying a golem marauder, in a 0,5-0,7 sec system. Given it had a complete T2 Fit EXCEPT for 4x CN BCU, would this be worth to suicide?

But it depends on the type of suicide ganker, some suice just about anything, others pick their targets. Your ships would drop a lot of T2 rig components, which would be a valid reason to gank you!

You have to look at it like this; every mod has a 50% chance to drop, therefore your ship isonly worth 50% of its fitted value to the ganker. Smallest gang to take out a bs in 0.5 is 10 T2 fitted bs (or 18 T1 fitted bs, maybe smaller, but aint tried). Work out that cost and figure if its worth a pirates time to split your stuff 10 ways. In your case it aint; maybe if you had been blasted down to struct in a mission and two people could kill you....but whats the chances of that one lol

A hyperion with under a mil in gunnery and one damage mod, all t1, will do around 600dps. with a full set of damage mods that should climb to above 800. this, on a toon with under 500k in gunnery. 800 in 30 seconds is 24000 damage. you shouldn't need more than 5.

If that value exceeds the value lost while "suiciding you" after insurance, taking also into consideration the factor by which it is split, e.g. how many pilots were involved, than someone might take into consideration doing it. A t2 equipped battleship is not that easy to take down, giving that said pilot might know what he/she is doing because of the T2 fit, especially in a high security system. Attackers will need a lot of firepower to be able to take it down, otherwise concord ruins the party before the candles on the cake are off. [hr] Sniggwaffe is recruiting

If they time their neut cycles correctly, the poor golem wont have any cap, even if he uses cap injector. And a insured plated domi dont cost much to loose.
