Can CCP please put in new jump gates connecting all the systems connected to Jita, so that if Jita is not a waypoint of your autopilot, the autopilot will not bring you through Jita...
Please...? --- Lasiverin Dark > Is everyone here allied? Red Knight > we are allied by our zombie like ability to ***** missions

Or... people start doing business in other systems?
There is nothing wrong with the Jita "system"... it's the fact that people continue to buy and sell there, that makes it a central hub (if not THE hub).
Try buying and selling out of any other system. The more people that make an effort to expand... the less lag there will be in Jita from people saying "Gee, I hate the lag here" as they continue to log in anyways. ---
Don't take my rantings personally. I may just be arguing the topic... unless you're saying something stupid, and then I mean every word. |

There is a problem with Jita
The problem is that theres a lot of people.
The fact that half the routes through forge are sent through Jita doesn't help much I do business outside of Jita and it works just fine. When I go to travel though avoiding Jita adss a few extra jumps of travel time --Bird of Prey: Forum God

Stop assuming stuff. I was in Maurasi, and had to go somewhere else. If you look at the map, you have to go through Jita to go there. Being a Sunday night, Jita was at 1000+ people, so I got stuck. 4 times. And the GMs kept moving me back to Maurasi... --- Lasiverin Dark > Is everyone here allied? Having an alternative high-sec route around Jita for the systems 'on the far side of it' would be quite handy.
That said, unless the autopilot's route planner knows to avoid Jita, you'll probably find yourself going that direction by accident and then suddenly notice 'oh crap, Jita's on the route'. It would be a start though.

Amarr is a particularly good trade hub.

THIS is my point.
I understand that AP wants to take Jita every time. But the problem isn't that you want to pass through Jita. The problem is that there are too damned many people hanging out in Jita all the time.
If people would go somewhere else, then the lag will go away, and then you could navigate Jita as easily as you did every other system on your route.
But everyone needs to make the effort to go somewhere else. Otherwise, yeah... there's a few people here and there going to Amarr or Ours or wherever... and there's still A THOUSAND people saying "Gee, I hate the lag in Jita" as they activate the stargate anyways.

Indeed, and some of my best sales have been in Oursaluert (or however it's spelt without a running copy of the game or a map to hand). ___ My views may not represent those of my corporation or alliance, which is why I never get invited to those diplomatic parties... |

But here you are arguing against someone being able to avoid Jita? How does that support your argument?
This is someone with no desire to trade in Jita, not even any desire to enter Jita, and yet he is forced to pass through the system.
Every system with a link to Jita should have 'bypass' gates to every other system with a Jita link. That way the shortest route will never pass through.
