Hello 0/
Locasta is a small empire dwelling corp thats is looking for players who like missions/ratting/mining. What you do is wholy up to your selves, you will have free reign over several corp hanger sections and can use them as you wish. More offices will be opened for you if required, within reason.
If you like your EVE life simple but find the channels of rookie corps to busy and just want to speak easily to your closest mates then please contact me or Sergeant Shafto in-game.
NO SKILL POINT REQUIRMENT
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Just curious. If you take all this time to keep bumping this thread, why not add a bit more to it? When people are looking for a new corp, they are generally looking for certain attributes about a corp. At least answer me these few questions and try to add something new everytime you bump this thread. It will show people you are actually interested in gaining new members instead of new bodies.
1. How old is your corp? Both the corp age and the average age of its members.
2. You say you are doing missions/ratting/mining, but what is your concentration? I know a lot of new corps want to incorporate everything to allow new members to get a feel for what they truly want and allowing them to evolve freely, but what are the majority of your more experienced players doing?
3. Where is your corp located? I mostly run Gallente Fed Navy Missions, and I don't know if I want to give that up in order to come over to Amarr space. Know what I mean?
I am new to this game, approximately two months old in game, about 3 mil sp. Was playing with a bunch of people from work until we got wardec'ed by a much more experienced and older corporation so we were forced to disband, as we were mild players, and mission runners at that. I am looking for a new corp, something that will have some comraderie, while allowing me to maintain my mission running, maybe even fleet up for some missions here and there.
The problem I see in the forums is everyone recruiting doesn't put in the pertinent information that people really want. You have to do the work of getting into contact with them for the details. It burns out the person and shows them that all you are doing is mass threading to get more numbers. It seems you are trying to get quantity at the sacrifice of quality. Anyway, that's my two cents. Hope to hear from you soon!

Edited by: Gar Loken on 06/08/2008 14:21:17 The OP is basic because the corp is simple, and its aim is simple. Just as its writen.
1. How old is your corp? Both the corp age and the average age of its members.
In the corps info but to save you looking its 4 months or more old. The SP in corp is low,5 6 mil tops. The age of the owners of the characters is around 25+
2.You say you are doing missions/ratting/mining, but what is your concentration? I know a lot of new corps want to incorporate everything to allow new members to get a feel for what they truly want and allowing them to evolve freely, but what are the majority of your more experienced players doing?
The current members of the corp are alts, for missioning all over eve, the mains in corps all over EVE. You can, as it says, do what ever you like where ever you like.
3. Where is your corp located? I mostly run Gallente Fed Navy Missions, and I don't know if I want to give that up in order to come over to Amarr space. Know what I mean?
You could continue your gallente missions, you dont have to move to join the corp. Moving is a pain, fully understand that, and it effects standings, switching missions.

Locasta is probably not for you then, just after mission runners who will happly get on with things them selves, husband and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend teams, people like that. Its basicly for those with an alt they want to keep safe or have a quiet life and dotn mind working/playing on their own while the corp grows.
The problem I see in the forums is everyone recruiting doesn't put in the pertinent information that people really want. You have to do the work of getting into contact with them for the details.
The best players in this game are the ones with "get up and go" about them, they have iniative and are prepaired to work and not expect handouts. Corps learn a lot about the people that they try and recruit though the effort the player puts into getting to know about the corp.Basicly, if you want it handed on a plate then corps are less likely to want you, you come looking, come hungry for info then you'll look good.
It burns out the person and shows them that all you are doing is mass threading to get more numbers. It seems you are trying to get quantity at the sacrifice of quality.
Try being a recruiter and you'll learn all about buring out. I recruit, with various characters for another 2 corps and i type every reply, and take every convo, i responed to every mail without copy and past BS, hence my insistance on getting the player looking for a corp to do some of the work him/her self. being a recruiter, a good one, is like being at work, its hard, but can be very rewarding. Copy and paste is not the sign of a good recruiter and its bull.
I hope that answers your questions, i would genuinly like to have you in the corp as i would like some mission runners but i dont think it would suit you, theres many other corps that would. You could even try Agony for some pvp training. Burn the heritc! |

I understand about the copy/paste bs. Also understand where you are coming from with people being motivated enough to look up the info on their own. Just hope you understand I am trying for find a home, and don't want to join a corporation and find out its not for me, bouncing back and forth. I want a commitment, because in the long run it looks better than having a toon that has a long list of employers.
Your corp sounds interesting, but as I said earlier I am looking for people closer to me. If it weren't for that, I would consider joining. Thank you for explaining everything, and I hope you get some more members!
As for PVP'ing, that won't happen any time soon. I really want to get my skills up before I get into that. Once I get some skills up, I will get the experience in PVP with a frigate, but as it stands right now my wallet isn't that great due to the disbanded corp. Have to make all my money on my own, which is cool, but sucks not being able to run level threes anymore, as I need help with those. Anyway, thanks for your time, and happy hunting. |

ahh yes fully understand your searching for a home, it should be done right, and i paricate that it takes time and can be stressful, just like moving house in RL i guess
Good luck with your search 07
ps... PVP is NOT as hard as it looks or seems. Everyone, even with low sp can take part and be trained by other more experianced pvpers. It doesnt take much to be an OK pvper, but it does take a lot of experiance and SP to be a great one and the sooner you start on the path the better Burn the heritc! |
