I came into this thread expecting a good read, some tears and a few threats. Maybe even some banter between the scammer and the scammee (that even a word?  ).

What happen is the following:
People involved:
Letava
King Balthazar
nukebie
mister x ( see no reason why his identity should be known)
Mister x was selling a nyx mothership to Nukebie and my self at the same time trying to get us to enter a bidding war. nukebie and my self started talking to each other and decided that no good was gone come out of trying to outbid eachother, I then told nukebie that a guy (letava) got in touch with me saying i could build a nyx in 3 weeks for 15 billion (a lot cheaper than what mister x was selling it for) but i didn¦t want to wait three weeks, and nukebie kindly agreed to take the letava deal and let me buy the nyx from mister x.
anyways letava asked for a 1 billion deposit to get the job started which tbh is reasonable so we started looking for a third party to take the deposit but failled to find one in time ( Chribba was away at that point)so i decided to trust letava as we knew someone in commun and paid the 1 billion deposit on behalf of nukebie since i was enjoying the nyx from mister x.
conclusion when 3 weeks go pass nukebie and letava agree on a time and place to do the trade but letava fails to turn up, so nukebie convos him to aks him what was going on and letava said " you got scammed"....
but you have all realised by now that the one who got scammed is me " king balthazar" for 1 billion and not nukebie.
However i like to apologise to nukebie for introducing him to letava and as a consequence waste 3 weeks of his time.
any one who requires chat log as a proove hit me up in gave and i will be happy to provide them.
to letava you obviously needed that 1 billion more than me so keep it mate and enjoy it.
also i will pay 10 million to anyone who shows me a kill mail from letava and hit me up in game if you know the location to one of his POS good reward.

Good to see no big harm came of it. And next time someone wants $ upfront, demand collateral. A researched BS bpo should do. 1B is certainly not enough for a real builder/trader to ruin a reputation over, but there are apparently enough of the little guys doing it to be a problem.
If a builder isn't willing to post collateral for a 1B upfront fee they're not real anyway. Anyone in the MS construction business is not going to be that hard up for ISK.
