I'm pretty new, but I don't have any problems grinding out lvl 1 combat missions. My question is, since a couple agents have become available, what do I need to start lvl 2 combat missions? I'm guessing a cruiser, but what kind of fitting? And I don't mean one that includes ridiculously priced T2 or faction modules/ammo, I'm not very rich lol.

Cruiser
with either shield tank (boosters, extenders, resists....)
or armor tank (repairers, plates, resists.....)
cap rechargers and guns / missles / drones

Your currently available skills, what are they ?
L2s go really well in either a passive buffer-tanked Caracal with Assault launchers and Bloodclaws, or in med drone Vexor or Arbitrator with maxed out tank and just one "aggro gun".
For minmatar... no idea... maybe an atrillery Stabber ? Doesn't work all that well, but meh, better than nothing.

I use this for L2 missions and never have any problems:
[Rupture, Rupture PvE missioning T1]
2 x Counterbalanced Weapon Mounts I
2 x Beta Reactor Control: Shield Power Relay I
Fourier Transform I Tracking Program
Medium F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction
Heat Dissipation Field I
Large F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction
4 x 650mm Medium Prototype I Siege Cannon
2 x SV-2000 Assault Missile Bay
Acolyte I x2
Hobgoblin I x3
It's all T1 stuff. If you can't fit it all drop the assault missile bas for standard bays. Pops most stuff by the time they get within 20km and use the drones for anything else that gets through

I did level 2 missions with mediocre skills in a cruiser with T1 fittings. They shouldn't be all that hard.

I used a rupture for L2 on low sp with ease.
You get an intro into dealing with some webbing frig/inty's so read mission description well and get used to using eve-survival.org for mission briefs. Have the option to use a web yourself.
