Demented471	Posted - 2008.07.22 07:23:00 - [1] I log onto my computer and i find i have a trojan horse. knowing you guys at CCP (if your reading this ) are really good with computers. What do i do? Do i delete the file its in or what do i do to get rid of it?

It's not anti-virus but can look through your PC for ebil files. You can get a free version of it, which doesn't have any realtime protection so you have to run it manually from time to time. You must be running some software that detects it - it should also have the functionality to scan and remove the offending item. If thats not the case go to Adaware SE Free and download the free software, that should take care of it.

For the most part their functionality and detection ability overlaps, but not completely, so consider them to complement each other. Also, to beat a dead trojan horse, make sure you have a decent and up-to-date virusscanner. Decent means NOT McAfee (crap scanner and performance hog) or Norton (somewhat decent scanner but performance hog of titanic proportions).
