I just read that there will be npcs selling basic clothing and everything else has to be researched and manufactured by players, now I'm wondering is this where the forgotten attribute charisma comes in? I'm actually thinking of making a alt with the intention of researching and making clothes :P

Somehow, I doubt that this will revitalize it very much. But hey, I'm all for anything that punishes all the sheep that picked Achura. ---------------- Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.83 (Updated 7/3) |

Spot on. Charisma will also be usefull for training fishing, because stations have artificial ponds. Also for taming beasts, those slaver hounds are hard to tame.

oi, dont plan on making alot of money their m8, clothes cant be to horribly expensive to buy otherwise people wont buy them, it would be like selling ammo i guess, i manufactured 100k small ammo and was only going to get like 800k for it, so clothes are probably going to be aroudn the same price, maybe a bit more, so if you make 100k pieces of clothing, dont expect to make more than 1 million or so on it
unless of course you become like THE clothes manufactueres like Nike is today, then you might get people willing to pay the amount of large ammo for THAT pair of pants or whatever
im not sure what my char is going to wear, i cant imagine him wearing any kinds of clothing really that wouldnt make him look weird, but since my name is SOLDIERoffortune, maybe some camoflauge or something, lol, some space camo, that would be cool, lol

Yes Lets get some more skills that only apply too ambulation too like glove slapfight skills ( not allowed to kill in stations), Monkey Island style insult wars, running faster, cloth wearing skills ( makes sure to put in t2 clothes).
You people are all ******ed get the hell out.

Charisma should determine the kind and amount of /emotes one can perform. -------- Ideas for: Mining Ships |

... together with the amount of customization you can get when recreating your character, as well as options you have at any plastic surgery.
IMHO high charisma should stand for more visible options/emotes, as low charisma = dull "character" = same as everybody else, thus having limited options, thus looking more like everybody else.

insane as it seems people will spend that kind of money on clothes. in the last few years i've seen a million dollar bra and some wedding dresses in the same price range.
given that lots and lots of people in eve have fortunes that make bill gates look like a sidewalk pencil vendor i think we'll see clothes being ridiculously priced.

The prices that companion pets like whelplings auction for in WoW tell me there's an untapped goldmine in eye candy.
We already see players choosing ships based largely on the way they look. Hell, do a forum search on the word "sexy".
Eye candy FTW.

Well it would be a nice way to boost the importance of the Charisma stat a bit.
Might make me feel a bit better about having a well rounded stat profile.

That's what Ambulation will make EVE. Only we pimp spaceships out instead of cars.

Hey I'm a sig maker, I like eyecandy and aesthetic stuff :P And If I'd be the first one to invent an Eyepatch BPO and start manufacturing maybe I'll make a fortune of all the pirates in eve?

Dude... I would give my left testicle if Achura looked like Ernest Borgnine when Ambulation comes out. And that's just the females. Males should look like Boris Yeltsin in a tutu.

Besides... I'm married and not doing a whole lot with it anyway.

Charisma will affect the way you walk around the station.
At level 1, you mince around the station with a 'kick me' sticker on your back.
By level 20, you strut, occasionally shouting 'yo homie !' and exchanging 'gangsta' handshakes with the other homeboys.
I for one cannot wait for this expansion.

If they want to boost charisma, just have it so it is the deciding factor in boob size for your female avatars at creation.

My first character has fairly high charisma (compared to some people) and My alt is your standard Per / Wil char. Speaking from both sides I think this attribute really needs to be made more usefull, this is a good way of fixing the problem because it doesn't affect skills already ingame.
This isn't a massive problem and doesn't need whining over, but it would be a good change to the game.

Dear CCP.
Please make it so ships can shoot at the player-owned offices and kill people inside of stations in Ambulation.
Also, make the dead bodies (which will be abundant after this change) more useful. How about having the npc clone corps buy them?
