There are over 190.000 character pictures on the server in four different resolutions. The pictures are rendered at CCP hq but stored in London. The copy tools we were using bogged down and stopped working so we wrote our own python scripts to fix the mess. We also had to make note of the fact that a new service is about to be introduced that allows people to change their character portrait for some service fee. Beacuse it's a while since the whole thing broke, there are several thousand new character portraits that needed to be copied. The renderslave is busy copying atm, but transfering the files takes a while.

Make note that is used to be so that you had to post to the forums to get your picture rendered but now we render all pictures so posting on the forums has no effect on the rendering process...

Sorry I fail to see the point of real cash, just allow us to make one change per 1/2/3/4/5/6 month due to cicatrization for example and voila problem solved .

Ended up having to re-install to fix it, and no it wasnt coz of pixel alignment, it was truly bugged to hell.
