So today i head to amarr in a crow to pick up a few things, i go afk for a few minutes to feed my baby daughter and i come back to my pod sat on a gate in amarr, my crow had zero in the cargo hold but it was fitted with 2 warp speed rigs, i have kill rights on 3 people. What i want to know is why did they kill me if theres nothing in it for them. This needs fixing its become beyond a joke.
Flame away but i hope the normal eve players will agree with me on this, CCP needs to fix this ganking trend or the game is going down the pan.

common now suicide ganking is a part of eve and next time you go afk dont ask for a nerf on this game turn your microwarp on and make use of the inty's speed then go afk. |

I watch a few sections of the forums. C&P is one of my favorite because of how we handle things here. Honestly i can think of at least 10-20 people who have been suicide ganked, war decced, and otherwise harrassed out of EVE for making a post like this.

The guys responsible are in R.I.S.K. alliance.
I also know the OP's main as he mentioned this in Amarr local when it happened.
It's not a big loss to be fair.
Anyway back to the point, suiciding is part of the game and if you can take the sec hit, taking down a crow in three thrashers is bloody good business. I mean who knows what MWD you were carrying, 3 mill for a potentially decent mwd drop is worth the gamble.
On the flipside R.I.S.K. will get some attention no doubt, but maybe that's what they want.

hello mate, it was only a tech 2 1mn mwd and 2 tech 2 nanofibers, depending on what blew up they could have made about 2 mill maximum, fair play to them i shouldnt have gone afk but its not easy with a baby. Ill be more careful in future, i have killrights on 3 people so my evening will be spent hunting them and disrupting there operations when i get home from work.

I for one understand what you are saying, but on the other hand, I welcome any suicide ganker to try and rip me off. They have tried more times than I care to think of, and I ALWAYS get the last laugh. Be it in empire or in 0.0, I get a kick out of seeing what those little ganking punks try to get away with. In the end all it does is make me isk, and cost them isk. So come one come all you little gankers, I'll kill you like I do all of your kind.

Actually this post and the answers it generates seem to proof that suicide ganking is to cheap.
If 3 people can afford to kill a crow with nothing in its cargohold, just hoping it has an expensive mwd something seems to be wrong........
Of course all the answering suiciders have understandably
another opinion. 
Well...the op noticed he made a mistake, and one or two posters even answered the question he put forward....
Not a very high percentage but what do you expect ?

I went AFK for all of a minute as my interceptor AP'd from Amarr to a nearby system. I came back to find that I was being targeted by a stealth bomber. Fortunately my ship was only fitted with some T1 overdrives and nanos, and the cargo only had a couple of EANM II's and unresearched large projectile BPOs so I apparently wasn't worth destroying. This was the first time I ever felt that I had actually been targeted for a potential suicide gank (the gate this happened at sees suicide ganks all the time though), and it just goes to show what might happen if you take your eyes off the screen for a minute.
That said, I think that suicide ganking is a vital part of Eve. Constant risk is the signature feature of the game, after all. Apparently nobody else has the guts to leave their player base exposed at all times in-game the way CCP does.

to a point I agree with sucide ganking and to a point I dont.
I have never done it.. and I have never experienced it... so I cant really post from those point of views only an outside the box point of view.
Why have I never been sucide ganked? Well I dont go afk at gates... I always dock or use a safe spot.

DONT GO AFK AT GATES USE SAFE SPOTS OR DOCK!!!! WTF SERIOUSLY? THIS IS EVE!!!!!!
p.s.
your crow was a small price to pay to insure your baby was fed and taken care of right?!? So stop complaining you made a sacrifise for your family, and others have done so and lost much more then a virtual ship in a game that in the very essence of existence, noone really gives a flipping flack about.
