I am trying to make my way as a strong researcher, but so far all my investments have been a bust. So i ask all you experianced people- Is there any way i can make money off bpc's with low-medium resources? What type of bpcs do you guys buy off market?
I've made a little off ammo bpc's, but really only cost.

I find it very easy to make isk off of cruiser & indy bpc's. Every now and then I get people buying missile bpc's. For me tho, its better to invest in bp's to manufacture then just selling bpc's.
But in some areas im still a noob, just my 2 cents..

Don't lose time with T1 BPs, go T2 directly, raise Science 5 and another of your choice (mechanic, engeenering or electronic for example) and start doing missions for a research corp.

I haven't invested time into T2 research yet, but my T1 stuff sells well enough to make a living. I manufacture mostly frigs, indies, cruisers, drones and ammo. Maybe a BS every 10-14 days, although I then have to buy the BPC for it in that case.
I usually get the BPOs for stuff that I need myself (energy related modules, drones, cruises, various projectile weapons and hybrids - along with their ammo). Off and on when I have a sizeable stack of minerals I build a batch of stuff and put it on the market to replenish my sell orders. Most sells fairly quickly if the price is right.
I mine a lot, but haven't sold any ore or minerals in ages. When turned into ships, items and ammo the stuff usually sells at a better margin, although some items might stay on sell order for a few days or a few weeks. Of course there is also the odd BPC sale every now and then, which is easy money.
All in all I think my sales tally up to 120-160 mio a week with 5-25% profit depending on the type of sale. The cruiser market is very competitive and your 40-70 mio investment into a cruiser BPO will not pay off in a *very* long time - if you want to try that. Although I sell 5-8 cruisers a week profit is usually marginal at best (200k - 1mio). Frigs sell better and sometimes at 40-50% over their mineral value.
So the T1 market isn't dead yet and it sure will be around a bit longer.

One thing is to make sure your production efficiency is very high before building ships for sale, and keep checking markets in different regions for good buys on Zyd and Mega. I sell drones at a very good margin, and they are replaced much more often. One thing to do is to compare different likely products, see what the market history is where you plan to produce them. I always set mine just a hair above average, and they usually sell out within a week (I'll build about 50 at a time). I also gather all my minerals myself, except for Zyd and Mega. For the time being, stay away from selling on Escrow; I sometimes have to set the settings for a different region to see items in my system. And remember that the only right price is one that people will buy at. I don't fool around with items I can't make a good margin on, and I only build cruisers for corp members because of this. Frigates are very good, especially if you can talk people into holding frequent frigate bouts in nearby low sec systems Those are the tips I have to offer, and just remember that every market is different. The secret seems to be research, and constantly refamiliarizing yourself with your local market. You might even engage others in conversations on local channel to see what equipment, ammo, missiles etc they use. Just ask for tips on outfitting yourself, and usually you'll hit gold Just remember that your customer base will change over time, and stay flexible and informed.

Yes the key here is to keep tabs on what your customers need. It's nice to hear from someone, 'Oh damn I wish I had a whole bunch of Iron charges' and then casually mention, 'What if I told you I have some just laying around?'

Thanx guys
when i started i really wanted to make research my big thing. Turns out its not as easy or profitable as i thought it would be. But i'm gonna try to stick with it. My next question would have to be- How hard are the level 3 research agent missions? i nearly have the standings and skills to use them. Can any of u gimme an idea what they ask for so i be prepared?

Sorry I did not understand your question: I thought you wanted to sell BPCs only. All depends where you sell. Ammos works well in 0.0, drones in miners areas, miners 1 and civilian shield boosters in tutorial stations^^.
Level 3 research missions are optional, it just gives you a boost in your project for the day. They ask things like homeless and science graduates so you should "fail" the missions to keep a lot of those (though I have never failed any homeless missions and I have 200+ in my hangar^^).

Well I find selling added value items to my Bpcs helps
like kestrel frigate and a standard launcher bpc 20 run 1 mwd 10 run bundle also Indy with a 10 mw After Burner bpc or a cruiser with a 10 run weapon bpc & ammo for it
