I want to know a couple things about missiles. 1. I seem to be leaning toward a long range missile slinger. So should I start working toward cruise missiles? Or stay with heavy.
2. Is the missile specialization worth all the skill training that it takes? to get there its something like 10 days for me. Also, specialized missiles are really expensive to boot.
thanks

Might help if you told us what you planned on doing.. PVP is about as far from PVE as industry. Chances are T2 missiles wont' be worth it either way. However T2 launchers get a 2% bonus to damage per level of missile specialization. Which is very good and worth considering. _______________

Also, if you think a 10 day training time is long you are in for some shock later in the game. So, get mentally prepared. :)

Edited by: Dirk Magnum on 24/07/2008 21:18:43 I trained up an insane amount (or what I thought was insane at the time) of missile skills so I could use stealth bombers to better effect. I use T1 launchers because it's hard enough to fit those ships without trying to squeeze T2 launchers into the system, but all the various missile support skills are an absolute must if you want to train up for any missile boat. I'm not saying you should spend the next 10 weeks training missile skills so you can fly the baddest ass Kestrel in the galaxy, but if you use T2 or faction ships with launchers, or if you use the larger missile boats like the Caracal, Drake, Raven and so forth, you need to be prepared to put some time towards missile support.
