I know i've seen people mention in-game channels about trading, but i can't seem to find it again.
What are some in-game channels? I think there was something with trade acadamy?

So, after trying all those mentioned channels, are there any trade related ones that actually have people in them?
There's rarely ever anyone talking and even when you ask something there's either no answers at all or it's taking ages. :(

It's on and off. They're either a torrent of chat, or dead silent for a few hours at a time. Generally I find posting a question and then doing something else and when you come back to it someone should've answered.

The EBANK one actually has the most chatter - and while it's occasionally trade related, it's open to anything really.

Don't forget about the standard 'trade' channels listed in the Trade group of the channel/mailing list window. These include Ships, Blueprints, Other, Materials and Manufacturing, Modules and Munitions, and Real Estate. They're all fairly active, except for maybe that Real Estate one.
Maybe those were obvious and you were looking for the more obscure ones, but I figured I'd mention them anyway
